I need assistance with a situation regarding my son's unresolved check. After a car accident in Powell, Tennessee in December [redacted], where he suffered a traumatic brain injury and was hospitalized for approximately five months, we discovered an uncashed check in his Tennessee paperwork. The check, dated 1/30/[redacted], was issued by BlueCrossBlueShield of Tennessee for $[redacted].33, made out to David W Todd. The check includes detailed information like Check No [redacted]40, two signatures (Vicky B Gregg and another illegible one), and mentions Bank of America in Dekalb County, Georgia. The check has a colored background and not a white, gray, or faded background. As his legal guardians, my husband Doug Todd and I, Billie Todd, are involved. Should David cash this check, or can we request a replacement check? If someone could guide us on the next steps, it would be greatly helpful.
