I am reaching out about the Black & Decker cordless handheld vacuum, catalog number HHVJ315JD, that we purchased on 11/15/[redacted] from Target for $44.99. The vacuum malfunctioned by starting up unexpectedly and the motor wouldn't shut off even when the button was pressed. It continued running until the motor burned out and now it doesn't work at all. The vacuum was only used for small touch-ups and never had any prior repairs. I have the proof of purchase and would appreciate a refund for this faulty product.

I have a PhD in computer science and over 25 years of industry experience. I have diagnosed an issue with my vacuum. The main brush motor needs replacement, and there seems to be a firmware problem causing the message of the main brush being stuck to persist even when the brush is not. Despite the motor running freely when spun by hand, the current draws incorrectly, triggering the wrong signal to the main board. The machine is barely over a month old, and for the price, I expect better durability. I have been a loyal customer of Black & Decker with a collection of over $25,[redacted] worth of their products, never experiencing such premature failure. I request a main brush motor and main circuit board to be shipped to my address below to avoid unnecessary repairs. Please rectify this promptly.

I recently received a Black and Decker Electric Sander (KA-[redacted]) as a gift. After opening it, I found that the Sanding Sheet included was not the correct size for the sander. Despite trying to use it, it did not fit into the clamps on the machine. I checked the Black & Decker website and realized that the size was incorrect. I had already purchased additional sandpaper from a Homebase Store based on the wrong size provided with the sander, which was a waste. I received a Black and Decker hand mixer for Christmas three years ago. Unfortunately, one of the beaters broke after two years of use. It's the black and silver MX5000KTS model, which is on the pricier side. I believe the quality of the beaters is lacking as the welds broke easily. I've resorted to using just one beater in the meantime. I've noticed that even cheaper mixers have better quality beaters, which is frustrating. I recently purchased a TROS [redacted] Black & Decker Toaster Oven, which was new out of the box. Unfortunately, the timer knob broke within just one week of use. I am unable to find a replacement knob as it seems this part is not available. This has been extremely frustrating as I had waited to mount the toaster oven in my new cupboards, and now it is not functioning properly. This appliance was a gift for my elderly parents who have always been loyal users of Black & Decker products. I have researched and discovered that this issue is not isolated and that replacement parts should be readily available. It is disappointing that such a common problem has not been addressed adequately. I kindly request assistance in obtaining a new knob for the TROS [redacted] or a replacement unit that is compatible with the current hood mounting system. I recently received a B & D Cordless Lithium Ion Wet & Dry Vacuum as a gift. I got it from the Target store in Woodbridge, VA [redacted]. I had to return it to Target because it had no instructions in the box and didn't seem to work well. I noticed air escaping from the left side, so I added a small piece of tape which seemed to help a bit. I thought I should let B&D know about this as it's been the worst experience with their products, from knives to power tools. Target wouldn't take it back, and now I have a broken vacuum. I'm disappointed because it's new, all attachments are there, but the vacuum looks beaten up.

I have a combo of an 18V weed trimmer and leaf blower. Since purchasing it, I've had to buy a new HPB18-OPE battery every year. Customer service replaced one battery 2 years ago, which only lasted a year. I recently bought one from Lowes, with a stamp date of [redacted] 06-58, while the previous one was from [redacted] 49-58. I'm disappointed they only last a year for $40 each. I have had few issues with other B & D tools in the past. I'm considering switching back to a gas unit. Any recommendations? Thank you. - B. Roche

I ordered a Black and Decker vacuum on Amazon on May 15, [redacted], and it broke down in November [redacted]. I contacted customer service and was directed to a repair center, SARL CARCASSIER. After sending my vacuum, months passed before I received a different model in June [redacted], a full 8 months later. The replacement I received, the dustbuster 10.8Wh LITHIUM, lacks the telescopic rigid tube I initially purchased for a stick vacuum function. This unexpected and unsuitable replacement after an 8-month wait for an item I paid over 60 euros for is very disappointing. I request a review of this situation as the service provided does not meet my expectations.

I purchased a Black & Decker Extra Wide Convection Oven in Toronto, Canada back in September [redacted] from Walmart. Unfortunately, the bake setting has never worked properly. When I reached out to Walmart last week, they mentioned that they no longer carry this model and advised me to contact Customer Care. I tried calling the number listed in the manual, [redacted], but it seems to deal with power tools instead of oven repairs in Toronto, Canada.
I am a senior and cannot afford to purchase a new oven. Could you please assist me in finding a location where I can bring the oven for repair or replacement?

Hello, I am Javier T. from La Paz, Bolivia. In May [redacted], I purchased a vacuum cleaner model VCBD8080. I had to send it for servicing twice between May [redacted] and October [redacted] due to it malfunctioning. The servicing was done by CENSEL Bolivia S.R.L. in La Paz. In November [redacted], CENSEL informed me that my original vacuum cleaner was irreparable and would be replaced with a new model VCBD8521. Recently, the new vacuum cleaner also stopped working. CENSEL said they could repair it but it's not under warranty, even though it's a new model. I contacted the Black and Decker importer in Bolivia, AIDISA S.A., explained the situation, and was told they would follow up. I've yet to hear back and unclear about the warranty status of my VCBD8521. Seeking guidance on repairing the vacuum cleaner and if I am still covered by the 2-year warranty. Thank you.

I own three Black & Decker outdoor power tools, but they are unusable due to the rechargeable HPB 18-OPE batteries no longer holding a charge. Out of the four batteries I have, one does not charge at all, and the other three only hold a minimal charge, not enough to power any tool. The tools affected are the B&D Hedge Trimmer Model # NHT [redacted] Type 1, B&D Chain Saw Model # CCS [redacted] Type 2, and B&D Weed Trimmer Model # [redacted] Type 1. Despite the battery issue, the tools are still in good condition. I believe Black & Decker should provide replacements free of charge as the batteries are defective and should upgrade them to rechargeable lithium batteries for improved quality.

I recently bought a 40v Black & Decker trimmer. Unfortunately, it stopped working, and I initially thought it was the battery. I purchased new batteries, but it turned out the battery was fine and the issue was with the charger. The charger had only been used a handful of times. I was pleased with my purchase enough to recommend it to my dad, who also got one. I hope that Black & Decker will replace the 40v charger for me. I had to borrow my dad's charger to get the trimmer working again. Black & Decker products have always been reliable for me, and I'm counting on your customer service to resolve this matter satisfactorily.

I have been a long-time user of your brand's products with no issues, as I genuinely enjoy the quality of your brand. However, a recent experience has made me hesitant about purchasing your products in the future.
Your products have always been known for their durability, meeting safety standards, and being safe to use in any environment. Nonetheless, a recent incident has raised concerns about the safety and consumer protection of your products.
I have attached a photo showing the handle of my kettle coming off (specifically the on/off button), which seems to be a manufacturing issue since the kettle itself is still functional. While the kettle continues to boil water, the handle with the on/off button has come loose, posing a potential safety hazard. I had to switch it off completely to prevent any risk of electrocution.
I am disappointed by this experience and would appreciate guidance on how this issue can be resolved. I look forward to your response.

I own a Black and Decker Max Lithium Flex vacuum that is still under warranty. I've reached out to the company three times about the non-functioning vacuum but have not received any assistance. I purchased the vacuum on August 22, [redacted], and by mid-October, it stopped holding a charge despite being used correctly and plugged into a functioning outlet. I bought a Black and Decker iron on Amazon in October 31, [redacted], the BLACK+DECKER Digital Advantage Professional Steam Iron, LCD Screen, Gray, D2030. The cord has failed at the junction with the iron itself. This is the second Black and Decker iron I have bought. Thank you for welcoming me aboard. I recently purchased a pair of black Deckers, however, over time I have noticed that the product is not as durable as expected. The battery in our HSV320 vacuum doesn't hold a charge anymore. After a full charge, it only runs for 2 minutes before stopping completely. We purchased this vacuum for my grandmother two Christmases ago. I visit her once a year, and she mentioned it stopped working about a week ago. Since it's been less than two years since we bought it, I believe it's still under warranty. I would greatly appreciate a replacement battery or vacuum. Thank you.

I recently bought a B+D toaster T2569B as a gift, but it toasts unevenly. I'm considering returning it, but the thought of dealing with long lines and possibly not getting the same sale price is frustrating. I might consider trying another B+D toaster, but I would feel much better if I received a customer satisfaction coupon to use towards the replacement purchase. This would help compensate for the disappointment, time, and money I've spent on this toaster.
