We reside in a townhome community in Lincoln, Nebraska, with addresses on Carlton Drive, ZIP code [redacted]. The noise of engines running through the night behind our residence has been keeping us and our visitors from getting a full night's sleep. The continuous rumbling of engines late into the night has made it difficult for residents, including us as an elderly couple, to rest peacefully. The sound is so loud that it even shifts the pictures on our walls. This has occurred multiple times in the past week, and we are hoping for a solution. Perhaps the engines could be shut down or moved just a hundred yards away to minimize the disturbance. We love our community but this issue is affecting our comfort here. We would appreciate any assistance or suggestions you could provide to improve this situation for the residents in our community. Thank you in advance for addressing this matter. Kind regards.

Hello, I am helping my father who will be retiring this year from BNSF. I am looking to purchase two model trains from the years he started and will be ending his career. I need photos of the paint schemes from [redacted]/[redacted] in Aurora, IL, and the current paint scheme as well. This information will help me choose the correct models as a meaningful gift for his dedication to the railroad. Your assistance in providing these photos would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

My 14-year-old grandson is an avid rail fan and enjoys filming and taking pictures at different stations nationwide. He often joins other kids in this hobby. We prefer traveling by rail whenever possible as I appreciate his enthusiasm for this positive interest. However, today he and another young fan were approached by a railroad security officer, asked for ID, had their camera bags and backpacks searched, and were instructed to delete some videos. They were also warned that all pictures could be confiscated if not approved by BNSF corporate before sharing. I'm curious if these procedures are standard for rail fans. My grandson dreams of working for the railroad and dedicates much of his time to railfanning and engaging with others who share his passion. I hope this incident doesn't dampen his excitement. These kids are highly involved in their hobby, unlike many teens today who are more focused on phones and social media. If there are any security or safety concerns we should be aware of, please inform us. We were unaware of any issues since most stations are public property. So far, he has had positive interactions with railroad staff, and we hope this will continue.

I am experiencing ongoing disturbances from train engines idling near my home for extended periods multiple times a day, leading to significant noise pollution and disruptions. The trains are even blocking a nearby railroad crossing for excessive durations, hindering access and creating further noise disturbances. The continued inconvenience and impact on my daily life from this excessive noise and disruption is becoming unbearable. I kindly request for the trains to either move their idling engines further away from residential areas or locate a more suitable place to park without causing disturbances. This situation needs to be addressed promptly to mitigate the negative effects it has on the residents in the area. I hope for a resolution to these ongoing noise issues soon.

Good afternoon, everyone! My name is Terri Dionne Wooten-Graham, representing Clarke Gibbs at Atlanta Dedicated, Inc. We are a Recycling Company with a couple of inquiries:
1) We are interested in supplying Mill Scale (71.53% Iron) to your Concrete Company for mixing into your concrete. If this is something you can use regularly, we would like to discuss this further as soon as possible.
2) We have been unable to get responses from CSX regarding our freight transport needs and are seeking a reliable rail system company to work with consistently. Would you be interested in being our go-to company for transportation, considering each of your rail cars can move up to [redacted] tons? If so, could you provide information on how we can initiate this process with your company?
Thank you for your time, and we are excited to potentially work together! 😁😁😁

We have raised two concerns that require attention. The first issue is with our fence line, which has been in poor condition for a couple of years. Despite notifying someone about it previously, no action has been taken. We seek replacement along the length of our pasture with the same type of fence we currently have. The second problem involves a culvert on one of the roads over the tracks, causing flooding on our land. This flooding not only damages the road but endangers our pigs. We have attempted to mitigate the situation by adding dirt, but it keeps washing away. We kindly request the installation of a new culvert to address the flooding and the replacement of the fence. Our address is 25 Moran Ranch Rd. in Rozet, Wyoming. We believe these issues have been overlooked, and we would appreciate prompt assistance.

Concerns About Fire Season
I have resided in the Bayview development off Del Monte Drive and San Pablo Avenue for over fifty years. My residence is adjacent to the Railroad tracks that pass under the bridge. Recently, a contractor for the Railroad conducted work behind the homes near mine. They utilized a masticator machine to clear all the trees behind our fences without cleaning up. Subsequently, tall weeds have flourished in that area, posing a significant fire hazard. I am worried that the weed abatement might not be addressed before the fire season commences, especially considering the dry conditions. In the past, I have cleared the weeds myself or paid for it due to a previous fire incident. Given the history and the current state of the area, I urge for urgent action to prevent any fire risks.
Sincerely,
Joanne J.
