I had a very poor experience trying to return my car at Catania Porto. The individual at the parking gate directed me to the Central Station, but upon arrival, I couldn't locate the Avis Return after driving around for 20 minutes. I ended up leaving the car in front of the Central Station with the keys inside between the seats in the center console, the tank full, and the car locked. Despite trying multiple numbers provided with no assistance, I eventually contacted the Main Port office who then connected me to Salvatore at Avis Porto. Salvatore scolded me for returning the car at the Central Station. I sent a picture of the car's location to Avis Porto. This has been my worst Avis experience. I hope for resolution regarding Salvatore returning the car to his office. Thank you.

Lastly, despite the company account and insurance, I was still charged, which is unacceptable.

I have been a loyal Avis customer for many years, but my experience at the Anchorage, AK airport location on August 6, [redacted] was unacceptable. When I tried to pick up my reserved car under confirmation number [redacted]0US5, I was asked for a current Boeing employee badge or ID to justify the rate quoted in my contract. As a retired Boeing employee, I showed my retiree card, but was told that I did not qualify for the rate. Despite explaining my longstanding use of the FB498C preferred number, I was denied a car and informed that I forfeited my contract. The supervisor mentioned Avis and Boeing's new policy on retired employee rates.
I believe Avis violated our contract by not stipulating the requirement to prove current employment at the time of booking. After using my preferred number for years without issue, this sudden demand was unfair. Hertz provided me with a car, albeit at a higher cost, rescuing me from the situation. I am seeking acknowledgment of Avis' error and reimbursement for the price difference between the Hertz rental and the original Avis contract.

I had a reservation that I modified, but when I got to the counter, it wasn't showing up. This was very inconvenient as I was about to leave town. They offered me another car at a different location, but it was more expensive, which I am not willing to pay. I am looking for a response on this issue before I consider renting from another company. My name is Kevin Felder.

I encountered an issue with a rental from July 15, [redacted]. I've been in contact with various representatives to resolve the problem. The Avis case number is [redacted]0, and my rental confirmation number is [redacted]6US3. The rental was pre-booked at www.avis.com/mvowner, and two certificates totaling $[redacted].00 were issued (refer to rental confirmation). We faced challenges in STL as we were given a faulty vehicle (with engine problems and a service engine light on). We promptly returned it and received a second vehicle/rental agreement with billing discrepancies that we are seeking to have rectified. The email response received stated that the vouchers were no longer valid as they were applied to the initial booking, which is disappointing. We respectfully ask Avis to honor our reservation. Thank you. - S.B.

I was charged $4,[redacted].95 incorrectly for my rental at Cleveland Hopkins today. My original reservation number was [redacted]1-US-6. Here's what happened: Originally, I was supposed to pick up and return the car at Hartford-Bradley Airport. On Saturday, April 2, my flight back to Cleveland was canceled by Delta Airlines. I promptly modified my rental on the Avis App, as a long-standing preferred member, to drop off the car at Cleveland Hopkins Airport on April 3 around 6:28 pm. The total distance from Hartford Bradley Airport to Cleveland Hopkins is [redacted] miles. However, the return receipt shows I am being charged for 11,[redacted] miles at $0.27 per mile, which is clearly inaccurate. This is like driving from Boston, MA to Los Angeles 4 times in 48 hours! I believe there may be an issue with the odometer readings. Even if I had driven [redacted] miles, the correct mileage cost at $0.27 per mile would be $[redacted].00.
