I purchased a sofa in March [redacted] (order no. [redacted]13) that was delivered in April [redacted]. The product had issues from the start, with stitches coming out and scratches. Argos acknowledged the problems, especially with the armrest, after receiving pictures in November [redacted]. They then referred me to Homeserve, who sent a technician a week later. Unfortunately, the technician was unprofessional with my wife and submitted a report full of assumptions and lack of diligence. Despite not offering to repair the sofa, the technician's report to Argos mentioned repairs. When I contacted Argos on 22 November [redacted], they directed me to GMTI to book another technician, but GMTI refused, citing the previous report as accidental damage. I have been stuck in a frustrating loop between Argos, GMTI, and Homeserve with no resolution. The poor quality of the sofa, the lack of repair, and the bureaucratic runaround are unacceptable. I am seeking repair or compensation for the faulty sofa and demand better customer service with less bias from all parties involved. I intend to file complaints against both GMTI and the Homeserve technician for their inadequate service.

I am experiencing difficulty purchasing a PlayStation gift card from Argos. Each time I attempt to finalize my order, I receive an error message stating, "Oops, there was a problem with this link." The page advises to contact customer support, but my attempts to reach them via phone, live chat, and messenger have been unsuccessful. I waited on hold for over an hour to reach a customer service agent. After finally speaking to "Alex," I found the experience frustrating. Despite her claims of being sympathetic and willing to help, I received no assistance. My friend, A.U., has a clothes dryer scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Due to a family emergency, she had to leave the country. I simply asked Alex to add a note for the delivery team to contact me before arriving, a request she adamantly refused. The lack of flexibility and compassion shown by Alex was disappointing. Other companies, like Amazon, offer more accommodating service. Given the circumstances, could you please ensure the delivery drivers call me beforehand, as I will be ready to receive the dryer anytime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thank you, C.

After 42 years of teaching service, my school gifted me an Argos gift card that I recently tried to use in-store. However, I was informed that the card is outdated, and they couldn't check the balance or let me use it. Following their advice, I attempted to contact Argos for assistance. The phone number on the card was unhelpful and lacked customer service. I managed to find another number online and have been on hold for 30 minutes without success. Regarding Cat. Nr. [redacted] and Order Nr. [redacted]17 with a delivery date of 29/09/[redacted] concerning our Bush American Style fridge freezer, we had an independent engineer assess it due to tripping the main fuse box. The engineer identified a faulty defrost heater, but we struggled to find a replacement part, even after contacting Argos and Bush multiple times. Despite being less than 18 months old, the fridge freezer seems irreparable, leading us to believe it is not fit for purpose. Before purchasing the BT4600 cordless phone, I noticed that it requires the use of visual voicemail and subscriber display, which are unfamiliar to me. I have a screened line for personal security and am unsure how these features may affect it. I have been trying to reach out to ARGOS at Transit Way and Royal Parade in Plymouth for three days but have been unable to due to excessive busyness. I urgently need to order replacement cordless phones as my wife, who is disabled, requires them. Despite faults found by BT engineers last week, I have received no assistance from the customer service representatives I spoke with. As my wife's carer and recently discharged from the hospital, I am in desperate need of help.

I visited the Argos store at Heaton Park to return a faulty item purchased online. Amber, the assistant, required a receipt which I did not have, only the collection confirmation with the order number. Despite my explanation, Amber insisted on a receipt and suggested obtaining a bank statement. When I asked to check the system with the order number or email, she refused. Requesting to speak to a manager, she informed me the manager was unavailable until later. Upon my return for the receipt, she mentioned the manager would only be in by 2 pm. Disappointed by the experience, I returned home and contacted Argos to have the receipt emailed to me.

Hello, I am facing an issue with a purchase from Argos totaling £[redacted].94, and I am seeking assistance in obtaining a refund for a TV Wall Mounting Bracket. The bracket was ordered with Order Number [redacted] on the Argos Website and delivered to my Leicester address, but due to unforeseen circumstances with our house sale, our move to Leamington Spa was delayed. Upon arrival at the new property, it was discovered that the TV Bracket was incorrect and a specialized one was needed, leading to the need for a refund from Argos. I am respectfully requesting the return and refund for the item, considering the situation that caused the delay was beyond our control. Since November, I have been addressing an issue with a faulty leather settee. Repairmen have come to my house three times, leaving parts but not fixing the problem. After requesting a refund, Argos picked up the settee on 25/02/23 and informed me of the refund via email. Following up on 01/03/23, I was told the process was incomplete and assured it would be rectified. I also reached out via live chat. On 05/03/23, I received an email requesting a call, as Argos noted a different phone number on the order that needed updating for the refund transmission. I had already updated my account details last year. They have mentioned that the refund will be processed within 48 hours as it has been forwarded to the back office.

I have been attempting for nearly 45 minutes to access your online ordering site. I purchased a Lawnmower (part No [redacted]/[redacted]) from your Paignton branch, but I am unable to find a way to pay for it on the website. The online site seems to be experiencing issues, making it frustrating to navigate. Additionally, I have had trouble reaching a live person over the phone as the system prompts for an order number I do not possess. The difficulties faced while trying to make a payment online and the challenges with the phone system are truly exasperating. I wish the online purchasing process could be more straightforward.

Yesterday, my wife and I attempted to return a Bosch Flexxo vacuum cleaner to your Morecambe store. We were met by the manager and a colleague who declined the return stating it had been used. Upon arriving home, while trying to assemble the vacuum, the handheld part fell off the main body and broke a small tab of the plastic filter. It seems the manager or their colleague did not assemble the cleaner correctly. Consequently, my wife is now left with a vacuum she neither wanted nor a functional one. Thank you, Argos.

I have attempted 20 times to order a commode online for home delivery. Throughout the process, I provided my Nationwide Debit Card details for a total of £65.95. Following this, a notice with the Nationwide emblem requested a special code for identity confirmation. After receiving a phone call with a six-figure number, I entered it but received errors stating it was incorrect or that the order could not be completed. This issue has not occurred in previous purchases. I am concerned about multiple charges. Can you confirm if the Nationwide notice is legitimate and necessary? I have attempted 20 times to order a commode online for home delivery. I have attempted to purchase a commode for home delivery 20 times now. While driving from Asda Queensferry Deeside on Sunday, June 20, [redacted], I encountered an Argos van with the registration number PK 20 UVT. The van driver was in the wrong lane at the traffic lights towards Shotton. As the lanes merged, the driver dangerously cut in front of us and nearly forced us off the road. Other drivers also expressed their disapproval by honking. Drivers like him should not be allowed on the road, especially not as professional drivers. Instances like this are accident-prone, and I doubt Argos will take any action regarding this matter.

I bought a RIFE waterproof golf cart bag and was thrilled with it. I loved it so much that my friends also bought a total of 5 bags about 10 months ago for winter use. After only about 6 months of use, I noticed an issue with the stitching in the cooler section. I attempted to contact Argos, but couldn't reach them, so I visited the outlet in Shepton Mallett, Somerset today. Initially, the first assistant agreed it was a fault, but then the manager accused me of damaging it (with my fruit?). Unfortunately, Argos refused to replace the bag under warranty. Yesterday, I made a purchase of £87.95. The order arrived promptly today, which was great. However, approximately 30-45 minutes later, I noticed that Argos charged me the same amount again for the identical order. I only placed the order once and already have the items, so it's puzzling why I've been double-charged. I purchased a hedgetrimmer made exclusively for Argos and paid in cash, but unfortunately, I seem to have misplaced the invoice.
