I contacted customer service a week ago about my issue, but I have not received any response since then. I recently joined Angi's List for the first time and was enthusiastic when they quickly found a professional to repair my damaged dining chairs. However, after four canceled appointments, including one where I wasn't even informed, I was very disappointed. I expressed my frustration when I called to inquire, feeling misled by the situation. I would appreciate if they could inform me if they are unable to find a suitable professional for the job. I am requesting either a call or an email. If they cannot fulfill this request, I would like a refund for my subscription as I have not received any services and may not utilize them in the future. Thank you. Sincerely, Judy P., [redacted] Renee Terrace, Sanborn, NY.

I signed up with Angi in late April 27 to hire a lawn mower, but no one showed up as planned. I was contacted by Angi a week later to inquire about my experience with the service provider, which I indicated did not happen due to a no-show. Surprisingly, Angi did not follow up until last week when a different landscaper I found independently had already completed the job. To my dismay, Angi has been deducting $87 from my bank account on a weekly basis for the past ten weeks, despite the lack of service. I am quite puzzled by the continuous charges from Angi when their service was not utilized until recently. I firmly request a full refund of $[redacted] for the charges accumulated since April 27. It is essential for Angi to reimburse me promptly and offer an explanation for this oversight. You can contact me at any time at [redacted].

I live in Tampa and had to move due to renovations. I contacted a mover called Affordable Movers from a list. The mover, Mike, quoted $65 as a down payment and $50 extra for the piano, along with $95 per hour for two movers and $95 per hour for every additional 15 minutes. When they arrived, they refused to move the furniture, claiming the apartment was dirty. Despite living there for 16 years through floods and being in our 70s, with mobility issues, my husband and I had to manage the move ourselves over three days with a dolly and a U-Haul. I am requesting my $65 down payment back as promised. They didn't assess the furniture properly, which was heavy, and there were insulting remarks made during the process. I just want a refund of the down payment. Thank you for your attention. Linda P. Tampa, Fla. [redacted]

I have resided in a scorching area of Nevada for over 15 years. About 12 years ago, I replaced my air conditioner with a heat pump. Now, it has malfunctioned, and after consulting various AC professionals, each one provided different reasons for the necessary repairs. I suspect it might require a new capacitor as the fan fails to engage, and the compressor isn't functioning properly. Strangely, all estimates were exorbitant, and I believe the most recent technician removed a component. I am quite knowledgeable about cars, computer repairs, and construction, and even attempted to discuss a part with one technician, only to find out they were unfamiliar with it. I am contemplating whether it would be more advantageous to install split units in my home due to its design flaws for air conditioning, such as vaulted ceilings trapping heat, duct locations not being suitable for AC (which was added later), and the structure being initially tailored for a cooler climate. Perhaps forsaking the existing system and incorporating exhaust fans to relieve the heat buildup could be a solution. This issue may be relevant to many people facing similar challenges with "cold climate" homes battling their design limitations.

On August 3, [redacted], I requested an electrician from a company called "Touch of Love LLC" to fix my dishwasher and garbage disposal. The technician who arrived did not show me his electrician's license and claimed both appliances needed to be replaced, demanding $[redacted] which I paid. After seeking a second opinion, another electrician identified a faulty electrical connection and quickly fixed both items. Despite multiple attempts to contact Angi for a refund as per their "Happiness" guarantee, I have not received a response. I have also tried searching for Touch of Love LLC on Google but have been unsuccessful in finding any information about them.

I was referred to a handyman by Angie, and I provided my credit card information to secure my appointment. The handyman was scheduled to come to my house on Monday, August 30, [redacted], but did not show up. Surprisingly, on their website, it showed that the job was completed. Upon contacting them, I was informed that my card payment was pending. They assigned another handyman who did visit on Wednesday, September 1, [redacted], while I was at work. Unfortunately, only my husband was home, who is handicapped from a stroke. The repairman claimed to have fixed the washer but upon further inspection, the job was not complete. Despite numerous attempts to reach the repairman, he has not responded. I am now seeking a refund of $[redacted].00 as the washer remains broken.

I engaged a painter through Angi's list and prepaid with discounts. The day before, I confirmed an appointment with Mark for 11 am on September 4th. However, Edwardo called on the day, offering to start painting by 1 pm, although I was expecting Mark. Despite the confusion, I agreed to Edwardo since I needed the work done. Later, Mark explained he couldn't accept payment due to an account hack from Angi's list. I agreed to pay Mark directly instead. After several days of painting, I noticed an $[redacted]+ charge from Angi's list on my bank statement. I need clarification on this payment as Mark was supposed to receive $[redacted] directly. I only wish to pay once for the service and appreciate assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you. - Lynda E., homeowner.

I would like to request the removal of Elephant Plumbing in Canton from your list of plumbers due to a bad experience I had with them. I run Rocking N Ranch in Fruitvale, Texas, where I raise Registered American Quarter Horse Colts on over [redacted] acres of land. After hiring Elephant Plumbing to fix a leak in the water line to my back barn, I encountered issues. The plumber fixed 2 leaks but failed to properly check the meter, resulting in a significant water bill of $[redacted] for unused water on a meter that serviced the back barn. Despite my attempts to reach out, the plumber did not return to investigate further, leaving me with a $[redacted] bill and no resolution. I am disappointed with the service provided and intend to report this to the Better Business Bureau. Please remove Elephant Plumbing from your recommended list. Thank you. - Nancy Woods, Rocking N Ranch, Fruitvale, Texas.

On September 21st, I engaged Angi to clean my house in preparation for sale. Angi then subcontracted handy.com for the job at [redacted] Golden Crown, San Antonio, TX [redacted]. Gary arrived promptly on September 22nd, but lacked the appropriate cleaning products. He promised to return at 3:30 pm the next day. On September 23rd, he notified me at 9 pm that he had completed the cleaning. While Gary was pleasant, it seemed he lacked proper cleaning training and product knowledge. Following a photographer's feedback, I inspected the house and found various areas left dirty, including toilets, kitchen cabinets, and bathroom sinks. I am seeking a refund for the $[redacted].60 cleaning service. Please provide an email address to send pictures of the cleaning issues.

I paid over $[redacted] for furnace duct cleaning services, but the company never showed up. They claimed to have been there when my fiancé was home all day, contradicting their statement. Despite the no-show, they still charged me two hours later. Initially, I was told payment would only be taken upon my confirmation of satisfaction. When I complained, they offered a refund or a free reschedule. Opting to reschedule for December 30th at 4 PM, I received a confirmation email. However, on the day of the appointment, they had no record of it, and no one showed up at 4 PM. The company, specifically an individual named Angie, took my money without delivering any service, failed to honor the rescheduled appointment, and provided misleading information. It's frustrating and unacceptable.

I hired a painter named Danny from Lexington. Initially, I found his quote high, but agreed as the whole room needed work. Instead of painting, he only did the walls and insisted he mainly focused on flooring. I paid him $[redacted] for flooring materials and another $[redacted] just for painting a small bedroom. After disagreements, he took a total of $[redacted] from me and disappeared. I contacted the authorities, and ultimately, someone else finished the bedroom for $[redacted]. Dealing with this situation has been tough, especially since I am battling cancer and am on a limited income. I apologize for sharing my story this way, and I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I am the owner of Entech Home Improvement. I have a concern regarding the leads I paid for in February. I was promised six to nine leads but only received three. This has impacted my ability to generate income as agreed upon in the contract with Angie. I have spoken to my account representative and was given a deadline to make a payment, or I risk losing access to my account. I believe Angie should fulfill their end of the contract by providing the agreed-upon number of leads before expecting further payments. I am willing to continue advertising with Angie Ads under revised terms once I receive the leads I paid for. It is crucial that both parties honor the contract for a fair business relationship.

I booked a handyman to put in a new entry door. The installer arrived on 3/14/22 at 12:30 pm as planned for a 3.5-hour job. The new door isn't fully installed, and the storm door isn't back up. The handyman promised to return today to finish the job and take away the old door as part of the initial agreement. It's now past noon, and I haven't heard from the handyman as promised. I noticed a charge on my credit card for the installation that needs fixing. You can reach me at [redacted]. I really need this sorted out soon.

I scheduled a repair appointment for my Frigidaire refrigerator, but the company doesn't have the necessary parts. After delays and being asked to reschedule, I'm frustrated as I need a working fridge. Trying to cancel resulted in losing all the money paid. I request a refund and cancellation. Another repair technician has the parts in stock and is coming between Noon and 3 pm. This experience doesn't match my previous positive encounters with Angi. Thank you, E. Boyle

I hired a contractor who wasn't straightforward. He claimed to have all the necessary equipment but didn't. We ended up going to Lowes, where I bought 2 gallons of paint for $70. I also purchased paint supplies totaling $94.03. He overspent on unnecessary items like extra-large paint roller pans and multiple paint brushes. His insistence on buying more products left me feeling taken advantage of, especially considering my health conditions. Due to my DAV status and health issues, I struggle with decision-making and can be easily pressured. After realizing he wasn't truthful about the supplies, I canceled the job. I left a message for him explaining the situation and requesting a call before 9 am to address the issue.

I was incorrectly billed for a cleaning appointment on 5/16/22 that I tried to cancel via phone and email. After speaking with a representative on 5/16, I was assured I wouldn't be charged, but I still got billed for the cancellation. This experience has led me to request a membership cancellation due to the difficulty in getting assistance promptly. I am seeking reimbursement for the charges of $86 and $15. Despite sending emails and filling out a dispute form, I have not received a satisfactory response. Please cancel my membership and process the refund promptly. I recently hired AJA D. for lawn maintenance, but I was disappointed with the service. After giving him $20 for only partially completing the job, I noticed areas like the side of the van, mailbox, and the front patch near the laurel oak tree were left untouched. I canceled the service last weekend, yet he showed up today. I asked him to leave as I want to cancel my subscription entirely. It was unsettling that he mumbled something as he walked away. Being an elderly woman with disabilities, this experience has been confusing and frustrating. Please ensure all my lawn maintenance subscriptions are canceled. Thank you. - Midge Parham

I have an appointment scheduled, but I forgot to write down the details and need to cancel it. I won't be home due to caring for my 96-year-old mother post-surgery. Kindly terminate my account as I can't afford the service. The robot on the customer service line didn't assist me adequately and the contact number provided for the appointment was disconnected. I prefer not to have unfamiliar men help me organize. I was surprised by the significant charge on my account, and I've been trying to cancel or reschedule within the timeframe. I prioritize caring for my mother and cannot manage early morning appointments due to my MS. The scheduling process on the app did not allow me to select a convenient time. I value my rest for energy to manage my condition.

I signed a contract with "Dry Roof" roofing contractor in Cape Coral, FL on May 26, [redacted]. The contract stated a completion date of 2-3 weeks. As of July 9, [redacted], my roof is 3/4 completed. There has been very little communication, and no completion date has been set. I believe all materials are present in my driveway. The contractor is not answering the phone. I have already paid 2/3 of the total amount. I am seeking advice on how to resolve this matter without resorting to legal action. Additionally, I do not have homeowner's insurance during this period. I was referred to this contractor by Guy Parker. Thank you.

Yesterday, I scheduled an appointment with Jamil for a handyman today at 10:00. However, this morning no one arrived. After speaking to Santiago at Angies List, I was given an estimate and informed about an appointment for tomorrow at 10:00 via email. When I called back later and spoke to John, the experience was unpleasant. Despite providing my email address slowly, he was unhelpful and rude, stating my appointment was on Aug 2, not tomorrow as I was initially told. Unhappy with the service, I found it frustrating to deal with Angies List and their customer service representatives. Regrettably, Diana Abreu
