In September, I contacted customer service to update my banking information due to changing banks. I spoke with a representative, made a payment, and updated my new bank details. The representative assured me they removed the old account. However, the autopay was not switched to the new account as promised. Consequently, my Amex account got closed because I believed the payments were being charged to the new account.
