My wife was recently informed about a questionable finding in her mammogram results. She is scheduled for a biopsy and MRI on Friday. She is 71 years and has no previous cancer history aside from stage 0 melanoma. Unfortunately, her family has a history of cancer. She is anxious, and I am seeking advice on what to expect, how to support her, and how to ease her worries before her upcoming procedures. Any guidance is welcomed.

I am inquiring about the affiliation between United Way and the American Cancer Society. My company has been a significant supporter of United Way, and I personally reached out to them in [redacted] and [redacted] after being diagnosed with Cancer because ACS was listed as one of their affiliates. However, upon contacting United Way, I was informed that they are not actually affiliated with the American Cancer Society. I have tried to clarify this with my HR department, but have not received a response. It is important for me to know for certain whether ACS is truly associated with United Way, as it would not be fair if the proceeds collected are not being shared with them. He was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma that initially started in the pancreas. He underwent a total removal surgery known as the Whipple procedure, which involved the removal of the pancreas, duodenum, biliary tract, gallbladder, and spleen. Unfortunately, a month post-surgery, there was a relapse. Subsequently, he commenced chemotherapy with Gemcitabine + Nabpaclixel but had to discontinue after 2 sessions due to elevated liver transaminases. Further scans revealed a 1 cm lesion in the liver and numerous nodules in his peritoneal region. The medical team has indicated that peritoneal cancer is not operable. I am inquiring if any effective surgeries or therapies exist for this scenario. Additionally, I am seeking recommendations for reputable medical centers or specialists who could provide further information on potential treatments.
