We need a technician to come and inspect our new Amana air conditioner. It was installed in February as part of a package with a furnace, water heater, and conditioner. We were told they would come back in warm weather to set it up. In May, when it was warm, no one showed up. We contacted them because it was either too cold or too hot, and the unit was making so much noise we couldn't sleep in the bedroom next to it. When they finally came, they said the noise is normal, but it sounds like a terrible jam when it starts up. Guests have noticed it too. Please address our concerns and respond via email. We are very dissatisfied with this situation. The air conditioner now cools well after they worked on the new thermostat, but the noise is unbearable. Thank you.

I bought an Amana through-the-wall AC unit with optional electric heat (PBE 093G35CB) and sleeve (PBWS01A) in March [redacted] from AJ Madison. The unit was installed in May [redacted] as part of a project for a nonprofit. I had high hopes for its performance, but it has started making loud, intolerable noises despite still heating and cooling the room. I've scheduled a third repair service as a last attempt to fix it, but I'm disheartened by the situation. I feel like my investment of nearly a thousand dollars has not been worthwhile, especially considering the additional costs of service calls. It's disappointing that it seems like no one cares about the quality and reliability of the products they sell. I'm frustrated and disenchanted by this whole experience, and I don't have the energy to keep pushing for a resolution. It's disheartening to realize that nobody seems to care about customer satisfaction anymore.

I recently bought an Amana Washer from Home Depot. Unfortunately, the washer malfunctioned, so I had to take it to a repair shop. To my surprise, there were three others with the same issue. All four had faulty motherboards. This is quite disappointing. The quality of this product is subpar, and Amana should feel ashamed for producing such low-quality items. It's disheartening to see the decline in American manufacturing standards. Despite my doubts about this being heard, I want to highlight the importance of American craftsmanship. I will spread the word and investigate the issue further by consulting a professional regarding the motherboards. Hopefully, there won't be any recurring problems. - Michael

I moved into a condo two years ago with Amana appliances, including a black refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher, which I loved. However, within this short time, I've encountered issues. The ice maker doesn't work, the refrigerator door is hard to clean, the stove top is messy, and the top rack of the dishwasher isn't functioning correctly. I am surprised how worn out they look already. While I admit I may not have cleaned them as well as I should have, I sought assistance and was asked to pay a $95 fee for a technician to assess the problems, with additional costs for any repairs needed. I wonder if there are customer service representatives genuinely willing to assist customers or if they are solely focused on promoting their brand. I hope to receive some helpful insight. Thank you.

I have recently purchased a brand new set of the Amana 3.5 top load washer and the matching dryer. My experience with this purchase has been incredibly disappointing. I am paying close to $[redacted] for the set with interest, which is a high amount for me due to my credit situation. The monthly payment of $75 is manageable for me.
Unfortunately, I have had to deal with over 5 repairs on the washing machine, with the latest repair resulting in a replacement with a used machine. This is not acceptable as I paid for a new set, not a used one. The machine is only 1 year old, and the frequent issues have been ongoing since 3 months after purchase. The recurring problem is that it gets stuck in spin mode without actually spinning, and the on/off switch stops working along with other malfunctions. As a single mom of 5, I rely heavily on having a functioning washer at home, but this situation has caused me to make frequent trips to the laundromat.
I was initially excited about my first brand new set, but now I am worried about paying it off considering the ongoing issues. I am unable to afford a warranty or to upgrade to a different model. Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

In [redacted], our main blower and heater core on our furnace needed replacement, so we decided to purchase a new furnace and a/c unit from Andy's Statewide in Michigan. They recommended a premium Amana 96% efficient 2-stage modulating furnace (AMVM961005) and a 16 SEER a/c and heat pump unit (ASXC16048) which cost $11,[redacted] including labor. Over the past 5 years, Andy's has provided free check-ups due to issues with the heat pump not running smoothly. Despite their efforts, the heat pump has encountered recurring problems, leading to a recent breakdown due to a faulty temp sensor and main board. Andy's has agreed to replace the parts at no cost, but I feel frustrated with the ongoing issues and wish to replace the unit with a non-heat pump model for reliability. I am disappointed with the performance of the Amana products and seek a resolution to ensure a dependable unit without further expenses. I appreciate Andy's support but desire a more permanent solution for peace of mind. Thank you for your attention and assistance with this matter.

I own an Amana microwave that is currently displaying an error code that reads "door". This microwave, model AMV2307PFS-0, has been functioning well for the past three years until this issue arose. As a senior citizen living on a fixed income, purchasing a new microwave is not feasible right now, so I am hoping to potentially repair it myself. I have already registered my microwave with the serial number TR 6 36 [redacted] under the name Linda Castleberry. I rely heavily on my microwave for daily use and would greatly appreciate prompt assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

The refrigerator recently had an issue where it stopped cooling, and the freezer stayed frozen. Following advice to unplug and replug after 24 hours fixed the cooling problem. However, a new issue surfaced with the refrigerator door not sealing properly. Closing the freezer drawer causes the fridge door to pop open, and sometimes the fridge door won't close properly either. Seeking advice on potential causes and solutions to fix this ongoing problem. Thank you for your help with this issue.

I'm Donnette Smith and I purchased an Amana dryer in August [redacted], model number NED4655EW1, serial number M[redacted]0. In December, it stopped blowing hot air. After scheduling a technician appointment on January 8, [redacted], the technician replaced the timer, but the issue persisted. Determining the motor was defective, he replaced it on January 22, without confirming if it resolved the problem. Since the dryer still blows cold air, I contacted Amana customer service, but faced a three-hour hold time and multiple transfers before speaking to a manager. The earliest available technician visit is February 29, which is too long for me to wait. The manager suggested I hire a different repair company at my expense and seek reimbursement from Amana, which could void my warranty. I find this resolution unfair and inconvenient. I've been waiting for a repair since December, and I believe resolving this promptly is crucial, considering the delays and inconveniences I've already faced.

I recently bought an Amana heating and air conditioning unit, which is now 2 years old. During this second summer of owning it, the heat pump stopped working properly. I contacted a recommended service technician, who diagnosed a failed capacitor as the issue. The total cost for replacing the part and labor was $[redacted].74. I was frustrated because I expected my $12,[redacted] unit, which came with a 10-year limited life warranty, to last longer without major issues. The technician mentioned that the capacitor problem was known for Amana units and had already replaced several that day. I'm reaching out to request reimbursement for the amount paid.

I am experiencing issues with my 12-year-old Amana electric dryer. When I press the start button, it emits a loud alarm sound and does not turn on. I have thoroughly cleaned out all lint by disassembling the front, back, and top of the dryer and have checked the motor, belt, and various thermostats. The drum spins freely when turned by hand. I am uncertain if the alarm sound points to a specific faulty component that needs replacement. The dryer has a capacity of 5.9 cubic feet, and the SKU number is [redacted] APW, with an additional number of [redacted] and a manufacturing date of 1/27/[redacted].

I need help finding someone to assist me with troubleshooting my fairly new electric range with a glass cooktop. We purchased it a year and a half ago, and the oven is not heating properly. It only reaches [redacted]°F when set to [redacted]°F. I suspect an issue with the thermostat. Can I reset it? I was on the phone with a support agent yesterday, but I had to hang up abruptly due to my grandson needing attention. Please contact me via phone call as I prefer verbal communication over chatting or texting. Thank you.

I purchased an Amana dryer from Lowes in Yakima, WA on 4/15/23, and it is not drying properly. Despite not overloading the dryer, it has been leaving pockets of pants damp since I bought it. I initially thought it might improve with some use, but the situation hasn't changed. I chose this brand due to the "made in America" label. I am hopeful that I just received a faulty unit. If this dryer cannot be easily repaired, could it be exchanged for another of the same model? Your assistance is appreciated.

I bought a new Amana refrigerator in January [redacted], but it has had issues since the start. After contacting Amana, an appliance repair company diagnosed a broken thermistor and replaced it. Unfortunately, the fridge kept malfunctioning. During a second visit, the technician found an unrepairable sealed gas chamber issue. The company was hesitant to report this to Amana to maintain their contract. Now, despite my explanation, Amana insists on sending another repair tech. I have been told my fridge is beyond repair, making additional visits pointless. I am requesting Amana to replace my defective fridge with a functioning one.

I attempted to use the Amana "contact us page" to no avail. I purchased an AVZC18 heat pump under the belief, as stated in the Customer Brochure on the website, that it is ComfortBridge compatible. This should allow me to utilize an Ecobee thermostat for home automation. However, the IO Attachment link on the same page contradicts this by stating compatibility only with the outdated CTK04 ComfortNet system. Despite the claims in the Customer Brochure, the dealer installed the CTK04 as the unit is not actually ComfortBridge compatible. I made my purchase decision based on the information provided on the website and have not received what I was promised. I am requesting that Amana provide me with a unit that aligns with the specifications on the website and cover the installation costs for both the new unit and the Ecobee thermostat, as initially advertised. If this cannot be accommodated, I am requesting a full refund.
