I recently rented a car for the first time and needed to extend the rental period. After being given a different rate to extend, I returned the car when I was in the area. To my surprise, the staff at the airport office informed me that I could have kept the car for a week at a lower cost than I paid for just a few days. I tried to reach out to customer service but was not provided with this information. When I called from the airport to see if the rate could be adjusted, I was told it was too late as I had already returned the car, even though I was still at the airport. Unfortunately, there were no cars available for rental. It would have been helpful if customer service had explained all my options considering my query about extending the rental period. The lack of transparency regarding the weekly rates was disappointing. Despite these issues, I plan on visiting Florida frequently to see my daughter and expand my medical business, but I will not be renting from ADV in the future. On a side note, I also have a slow leak in my back right tire and was simply advised to fill it with air, which was not the ideal solution for me. I am considering filing complaints with several consumer protection agencies. Thank you and have a good day.

Dear Advantage Customer Service, I rented a vehicle through Hotwire from Advantage at Atlanta Hartsfield International airport on August 17 and returned it on August 21, [redacted]. I paid $[redacted] upfront through Hotwire for the rental charges. Upon return, an Advantage representative confirmed everything was fine, including a full tank of gas (proof attached from my bank account). To my surprise, $[redacted] was deducted by Advantage on August 21 for the same rental. Please address this double charge promptly. Thank you, Olusola Falodun

Hello [redacted], I am writing to address the $52.65 FPO gas charge on my rental receipt. Upon returning the car with a half tank of gas, the staff insisted the contract stated the tank was full, refusing to credit me. Despite showing a dashboard photo displaying the mileage and gas level, they directed me to contact the on-duty supervisor. Following their guidance, I contacted Ms. Wong who claimed I should have reported the incorrect gas level upon receiving the car, disconnecting the call abruptly. Despite leaving messages without a response, I now seek your assistance in issuing a $52.65 credit or providing a written explanation for the charge discrepancy. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

1) On January 30, [redacted], we drove through a cashless toll spot on SR528 Beachline East ORT E MP6 and noticed an unexpected charge of $26.20 on my credit card bill from Advantage Car Co. Being first-time visitors in Florida, it was surprising not to be informed about this. Despite speaking to a company representative, we were only told there was a sign but no way to pay on the highway. Florida State Toll Co. takes a picture of the car's plate and charges the rental company, who then charges the renter. 2) I am questioning why I was charged $26.20 without my consent for passing through two cashless spots when the actual charge per pass is $2.50. I feel this charge is unjust as there was no prior notification. I expect clarity on these charges and request a refund through Advantage Car Co. Regards, S.A.C. Subject: Concern Regarding Car Rental Reservation Yesterday evening at 7:33 PM EST, I received a text from Advantage regarding my reservation confirmation, to which I responded affirmatively. However, due to weather-related delays resulting in Southwest [redacted] being held up, I arrived at the Orlando International Airport later than scheduled. Upon reaching the Advantage Counter, I found it unattended. Subsequently, I encountered a staff member who, despite being present, mentioned that they were closed and unable to assist in car rentals. My designated pick-up time was 9:00 PM CST, falling within the specified 4-hour window. The delay was solely due to circumstances beyond my control. Despite staff availability, they declined to proceed with the rental transaction. Another passenger faced a similar predicament with the staff. I seek clarification on Advantage's stance on fulfilling their obligation to hold the car reservation considering the unforeseen delays on my end. Thank you for addressing my concerns. Best, David B.

I made a reservation for a rental car and received a confirmation, but upon arrival, I was informed I needed to email a utility bill. Despite sending the bill and confirming payment of a past balance, I was still rejected due to the outdated statement showing it as overdue. I attempted to access the terms and conditions on the website but could not locate them after receiving a link via text. The General Manager was unsympathetic and rude, unable to direct me to where the utility bill requirement was listed. This has led to missed appointments and wasted time at the airport, with multiple others also facing reservation cancellations. The situation is unacceptable for a business, and the lack of clarity is frustrating. I feel stranded and disappointed, considering walking a long distance due to these unforeseen circumstances.
