Subject: Request for Refund Dear Sir or Madam, I have been a loyal AOL subscriber since [redacted], using the email service for both personal and business purposes for over 24 years. Recently, I discovered that AOL email has been free since August [redacted], without any notification from the company. Realizing I have unknowingly paid for a free service for 15 1/2 years, totaling $5,[redacted], I am requesting a refund for the excess charges exceeding the value of additional services I signed up for during this period. I am more than willing to pay a reasonable amount for those few extra benefits, understanding their value does not justify the significant sum I have paid. As a retired individual with limited technical knowledge and health concerns, the refund would greatly assist me with daily expenses. I appreciate your attention to this matter and thank you for your understanding. Best regards, J.R. Warner

On March 26, [redacted], my AOL email was hacked by someone from Nigeria. The hacker removed my recovery email and phone number, making it impossible for me to recover my account. This AOL email was crucial as a recovery account for various platforms like Facebook, Twitter, NordVPN, and many others. It was also essential for my work and other accounts, from Harry's shaving to eBay for purchasing medical supplies. I'm surprised by AOL's inflexible rules that seem to benefit the hacker rather than the original account holder. I have only accessed this account from my home and work in Florida, never from Nigeria. The hijacker then used my email to access other accounts I had linked to it, further complicating the situation. Despite my attempts to recover these accounts, AOL claims my recovery email and phone number have been deleted, hindering any recovery efforts. I find it hard to believe that AOL cannot assist in restoring my online life in this common type of situation. I managed to recover my eBay account by showing them my login IPs and recent activities, which highlighted the sudden change to a login from Nigeria. This experience has been disruptive, and I'm seeking guidance on how to resolve it.

Today, when I tried to access my emails on my computer, I received a message saying my account was deactivated. This is odd since I use my email daily on my phone. Following the instructions, I created a new password. However, when I tried to update my iPhone settings with the new password, it continually says it does not match my account. I have been attempting to resolve this issue throughout the day. I can access my emails on the computer but not on my phone. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Dear Co Work, I was initially only informed about the Rs [redacted] registration fee. However, suddenly there was a request for an additional Rs [redacted] for a software update without prior notice, which I reluctantly paid. Now, I'm being asked for another Rs [redacted] to address technical issues without being informed beforehand. It's unfair to demand this payment without proper disclosure. I no longer wish to continue with the company and request a full refund due to the lack of transparency. Please process the refund accordingly. Thank you.

My cell phone was hacked, and my AOL accounts are compromised. My original account from [redacted] seems untouched, but the one I created in [redacted] while in the hospital is affected. I've lost access to many Facebook friends through this newer account, and the hackers seem to be using it via my cell phone and my daughter's phone to contact me through Messenger. This has been happening for almost a week now. I urgently need help to regain access to my AOL accounts and Messenger. The hackers are even trying to extort money from me, and I feel violated. I want to recover my AOL account and ensure it is secure to prevent future breaches.

I have received two suspicious emails claiming to be from AOL. One of the emails indicates that due to system congestion and the removal of unused accounts, all unused accounts will be shut down unless verified. The other email suggests that I have 5 held messages and prompts me to provide login information despite being logged in.

I've had an AOL account for about 20 years without any issues. I used to access my email by clicking on AOL mail on my desktop computer, but recently, instead of my emails showing up, I'm prompted to enter my password. Despite providing my password, it wasn't accepted, and I couldn't create a new one. After contacting AOL customer service at 1-[redacted], I was told to wait 24 hours due to calling too many times. Even after waiting, the issue persisted, and when I requested to speak to a supervisor, they informed me that I'd have to wait "severable" days, without specifying an exact timeframe. I repeatedly asked why this problem occurred, but none of the representatives could provide an explanation.

I am having trouble accessing my AOL mail account. It seems someone accessed it, changed the password, and is now sending emails asking for Amazon gift cards in my wife's name. When I try to reset the password, the code is being sent to an old email address that I cannot access. My friends are receiving fraudulent emails and asking about it. This is urgent and I need help to regain control of my account.

Hello, I have been using the email account [redacted] for a long time, but now I am unable to access it. For the past 24 hours, every time I try to log in, it keeps prompting me to confirm that I am not a robot and asks for the password repeatedly. Even when I try to reset my password, it just sends me back to the same cycle of confirming that I am not a robot. I urgently need to access my account as it contains important information. Can someone please help me with this issue?

Hello, I encountered an issue with my AOL account that dates back to [redacted]. At the time, I didn't attempt to recover it since it was an account from my Middle School days and wasn't a priority for me. Recently, someone seems to have gained control of my old AOL account and is trying to access my PSN account using the same email. I have evidence from my old AOL emails that login attempts were made from Hungary and a phone number was added to the account without my knowledge. Despite my efforts to reset the password and contact AOL support, I couldn't verify the recovery email or phone number linked to the account. AOL support's assistance was minimal, as they requested to speak with the account registrant, claimed to be me, and didn't acknowledge potential name changes by the current user. They mentioned escalating the problem, but my expectations for a resolution are low. What steps should I take next?

I am seeking assistance with accessing my deceased mother's email account, [redacted] Her boyfriend, Mark, who she was not married to, has wrongfully taken control of the account after her passing. I am her son and the executor of her estate, Anthony LoGiudice. Mark has changed the password and refuses to sign out, preventing me from accessing important information related to her bills, phone service, lawyers, and banking connections. He has also erased data from her phone that I need to access the account. I have the necessary documentation to prove my authority as the Personal Representative and to show that my mother has passed away. I request assistance in resetting the password for the email account to prevent further unauthorized access. This situation has added stress to an already difficult time for me, my children, and my wife. I can be reached at [redacted] for any help. Thank you.

Bernd Thieme November 28, [redacted] Email: [redacted] Locked (Hacker Attack) Account [redacted] Hello, I am having an issue with my AOL account. It was locked for unknown reasons, preventing me from accessing my emails. Attempts to restore the account have been unsuccessful. The problem lies in the fact that I still have my old landline number for verification in the account, as mobile phones were not available when I first registered with AOL. During the login process, a verification code is sent via SMS, which I cannot receive on my landline phone. I have provided a mobile number, name, and alternative email address in the contact form for AOL support, explaining the issue with the SMS verification on the landline. AOL's response was that they were unable to verify my ownership of the AOL email address "[redacted]" with the information provided. Despite detailing the issue in the contact form, I am receiving only automated responses. The hotline on AOL's website is not operational. I would appreciate any help in finding a solution. Best regards.

My name is Brian Evans, writing on behalf of Maretta F. White since she is unable to do so herself. My mother, who has dementia, has not used her AOL account for over two years. Unfortunately, automatic payments of $69.00 have been debited from her Exchange Bank of Alabama checking account, which has caused overdrafts and fees. I kindly request that AOL stop the automatic withdrawals immediately. I also believe that she should be reimbursed for the payments made in the last two years as well as the associated fees. Please contact me at [redacted] or phone [redacted]. Thank you.

I need help with my husband's email account. He is unable to access his email inbox, even though it shows there are 22 unread emails. After multiple login attempts, we entered a verification code but now the system is prompting us to reset his password due to security concerns. He believes the issue arose from mistyping the password. Is there a way to resolve this without changing the password?

Last month, AOL billed me $6.99 for membership fees instead of the usual $4.99. After calling to dispute the charge, they refunded me $2.00 and assured me the price would remain at $4.99. However, tonight I was charged $6.99 again. The representative I spoke to, who was in Romania, apologized for the confusion but said he couldn't adjust the amount. Given that I am living on social security income while my husband is in a care facility for Alzheimer's, I am unable to afford any price increases. I kindly request your assistance in keeping my monthly fee at $4.99. Thank you for your help.

Hello, I suspect my AOL account has been compromised. I woke up to several messages from recipients stating they received emails I did not send. After attempting to reset my password, which seemed successful, I find myself unable to access or send emails from my AOL account ([redacted]). Despite multiple password reset attempts, the promised verification code never reaches me. It's evident my account has been hacked. I appreciate any guidance on how to address this. Regards, Phil H.
