The bottom shelf on my Frigidaire refrigerator cracked, so I called this number to find out how I could get a replacement. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it does take a while to get to someone who can help you. If you are willing to navigate through several phone directories, you will eventually get to someone from a warehouse who is able to take your information and get things sorted. However, it is helpful to have the model and serial number of the fridge before calling because this certainly took me an extra minute since it hadn't even occurred to me.
When I was first called, I was thanked for calling Frigidaire and told that for information about large appliances, including fridges, dishwashers, or cooking press 1. For information about small appliances, vacuums, slow cookers, blenders or toaster ovens, press 2. Since I was calling about my fridge, I pressed 1.
Then, I was told to choose from another list of menu options. It told me for assistance with a dehumidifier or room air conditioner press 1, for all other product repair requests press 2, for replacement parts or accessories press 3, for assistance with a Frigidaire extended service agreement press 4, for product care or usage guides press 4, and for all other concerns press 6. The list was read rather fast, and I missed some of it, so I pressed 9 to repeat the message.
I then pressed 3 since I needed a replacement part for my fridge. After that it told me consumers should press 1 and all other callers should press 2. Clearly, I was a consumer, so I pressed 2 and waited.
It rang a few times and I thought that I was going to get to talk to someone, but then it said please hold for a customer care agent followed immediately by a "Hello, you've reached Frigidaire appliance parts dot com."
Then it gave me even more options which had me thinking I would never get to someone. I wasn't sure why it acted like I called a website address, either. The new list instructed me for help with order status to press 1, to place a new order press 2, to speak to a representative about an existing order press 3, and for all other calls press 0.
I pressed 0 because I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to place a new order or not and it started ringing again. Then, someone with a thick Brooklyn accent answered. I had to listen carefully, but he was able to help. All told, it took me 4 minutes and five seconds to get to the point where I was talking to a real person.
