How do I read my electric meter?

Asked 6 months ago
To read your electric meter, locate the display that shows the numbers. You will see a series of dials or digital numbers which indicate the amount of electricity used. Write down the numbers from left to right, excluding any numbers highlighted in red. Take note of the units displayed (kWh) and compare it to your previous reading to determine your electricity usage. Keep in mind that some meters also have a multiplier which you may need to take into account when calculating your usage.
