I am currently on standby unemployment with Washington state unemployment meaning I do not have to search for work. I recently received an email saying that I will get an alert to file a PEUC claim to extend my benefits for ** weeks. When I received the alert I filed right away. I am now hearing from people that I was supposed to file that at the end of my benefits. I received a letter from unemployment two days ago saying based on my records that I am now obligated to actively search for work and if I don’t, I can be denied benefits. *Is this at all related to the PEUC claim I filed? How do I fix this so I don’t have to look for work. My claim still shows standby so not sure if this is a letter I should ignore. Also aware that during coronavirus , we don’t have to look for work even on normal unemployment
