Dear Sir*Madam ** June *****Re: Vodacom Steals MY Money and Would not return it!*I write this letter with utter disgust, disappointment and absolute despair. Herewith follows a series of events that has brought me to the conclusion*accusation listed above:**)*My April Account excessively high and due to a lack of sufficient funds in my account, my debit order did not go through. I had made settlement arrangements of the outstanding funds in two instalments which I did. One cash deposit was done on the ** April at **:** and another on the ** May at **:**.**)*That same day of the **th May , account was debited for that outstanding R**** as well. Had I been advised to not deposit on the same day that my debit order goes out of my account, I would not have made a cash payment that morning.**)*I called the customer service line at **:** on ** May to notify them of their mistake and sadly the consultant, Dolly, was not helpful. She said that I must call again on Friday( three days later), to confirm that such payment had been made.**)*Friday ** May: Lerato confirms that an extra payment of R**** is in my account. I asked to have it returned to me. She said I should receive it in the next *-** working days.**)** June **:**: ** working days later, I received nothing from Vodacom. I call the ******* number to speak to a consultant. Tshepo was kind enough to lodge a request for the refund of R****. I then received a Reference Number : *-*************. She advised me that the R*** would be in my account in **hrs. But owing to it being Friday and the close of business, no such thing will happen!**)** June **:**: I called again to query the amount that is due to me. This consultant was of no help either. When I requested to talk to her superior, she put me on hold for * minutes and returned to repeat what she had said * mins earlier, “The request is still open and there is no resolution”…I was UPSET! I could not understand how a simple task of returning the money could be made so difficult! When I had become vociferous of my intentions to take this matter further, the operator put me on loud speaker and laughed at me! Which infuriated me even further as she was not taking this matter seriously.**)** June **:**: I drove to The Gateway Vodacom Walk – in Centre to speak to someone who could let me know why this is taking SO LONG TO BE RESOLVED! Randhir and Niddhi listened to the situation. Randir instructed Niddhi to draft an email to their department on my behalf to have the money refunded to me together with compensation for my time and calls spent on this issue. Randhir also told me that Vodacom has now credited the extra money and is deducting my usage of my bill from that said amount! I left feeling just as dejected. Niddhi did say that there may be a further wait of * more days!!*I still have a shortfall of R****. This may be just a drop in the ocean for Vodacom PTY Ltd. But to me it is my money AND I WANT IT BACK! *I would like this matter investigated and resolved immediately. Failing which, I am going to resort to Consumer Watch and social media for the poor manner with which Vodacom PTY Ltd. has conducted business with me, the client!*A reply to this letter would be greatly appreciated.*Sincerely*Rekha Gopichand
