My reservation for the return flight is on hold. He will be in the hospital for at least another week. Qantas assures me that the flight will be rebooked with out a penalty when my husband is able to travel. How do I book that flight?

I need how to rebook his return flight and Qantas assures me that my reservation is "ON HOLD" with a CREDIT and can be rebooked when he is able to travel. They do not anticipate a "change fee" because it is a medical emergency. Please advise how to make this reservation.
