I called what I thought was a tech support number for Cash App after doing a Google search. I called the number on **** and they helped. I called them again the next day for a problem and they helped. I called a third time and they helped with one issue and the second issue they said they were having server issues and they would call me back. They called me back an hour later and they claimed to still be working on the issue. After a couple hours I called them and the phone was disconnected and over $**** in my account was gone. I emailed Cash App no less than a dozen times from within the app and from their support website. Someone called me saying they were from Cash App on June **. He identified himself as Richard Anderson from Cash App support and they were looking into the problem and would be refunding my money within ** hours. That never happened and when I tried to call the number I kept getting voicemail. Because of that and their lack of response, I filed a complaint with the BBB of San Francisco. Two days later I received an email from Cash App stating they were denying my claim. I responded asking them to have supervisor call me. As of today, that has not happened. I plan to file another complaing with the BBB and contemplating taking them to court. I might add that they have a laisez faire attitude about their customers. When I finally called the automated response, hoping to have a way to talk to a person, the last statement indicates there are people impersonating cash app personnel and listing fake customer support numbers! That statement should be the FIRST thing you hear on the automated line...not the last thing. And it should be plastered on their website and mobile app..
GetHuman-flc_info did not yet indicate what Square Cash should do to make this right.
