I placed an order this morning and my debit card was refused.**I went to my bank and they said the order had the wrong exp. date.**I returned home and placed the order again and it was refused.**I called customer service and they took my order over the phone and it was cleared.**I then called my bank and they said the order was placed three times and my funds were being held.**I call *-***-***-**** customer service*and the women said the funds were being held for all three orders and if there is a problem I will get my funds back in * to ** days. This is ********.**If you can take the funds from my card in a few minutes you can certainly return them in the same amount of time. So, you are sitting on $*** of my money and collecting interest on it.**So, I just have to wait. No, there is an alternative. I have a friend who was one of three individual that have direct contact with the general public. In the early ****'s all * were fed-up with an airlines that operated in the eastern part of the U.S. They went directly to the general public who were in agreement with their complaints. The airlines went bankrupt in * weeks. That group of individuals now consists of ** people. They meet with over **,*** people a month.**The policy of hotels and motels of holding a person's deposit until the day they leave is understandable. However, the bank doesn't have to pay that money back for * to ** day. This is pure greed. I'm sure you can imagine how much interest is being made on money being held for ** days just in the hospitality industry.**If I purchase something at Wal-Mart and it doesn't work. I bring it back to the store on the same day and they credit my account. So, it is possible to do this without a * to ** day delay.**I have lived in Nevada for ** years and have shopped at Sheplers throughout these years. But, I paid cash, I now live some ** miles from Reno and don't have the time to travel to Reno. **I'm very irritated with Sheplers at the moment. I remember reading an article on 'customer' service. They stated that one unhappy person will tell * other people who will in turn tell * other people. This is the general public* lawyer cost a fortune with virtually no results, government agencies for the protect of the consumer... do nothing for the consumer and should lined out the county, state, and federal budgets
