My family had a contract with Orkin for several years, and this summer noticed that the service was not effective as we were having a problem with mice. I called to request additional service on July *th, and was told that the account manager would need to call me back to schedule. Someone did call, to verify our contact numbers, but did not arrange to have a tech visit. I waited for two weeks to hear something else, but never received another call. **I called on July **st to cancel our service as it seemed clear that we were not getting what was promised from the company. I was again told that the account manager would need to call me to cancel our contract. I never received a call.**I then emailed customer service on July **th to terminate my account and reiterated the above. I never received an email or confirmation that my account was cancelled.**I thought that the lack of response meant our contract was effectively cancelled, but a tech showed up to give us service in August. My husband was home and told him we had cancelled and to please leave. The tech had not heard anything about our issues or the cancellation of our contract. **I received a bill dated *******, and as it was stated on the website that the previous month's charges would be refunded, I thought that the best thing to do would be to call to ask that I simply not pay the balance due of $**.**. Again, I was told that someone would have to call me to talk about this and confirm this would work. Again, I received no such phone call. **On September **th I received a collections notice dated ******* stating that the bill needed to be paid within * days. I once again called to try to speak with someone that could assist me. I was told that I would receive a call within * days. I received no phone call. **The customer service from Orkin has been non-existent. I would like to contact someone that can help me with this issue. I do not want this to affect my credit, but I also feel that this is simply wrong and that I should not owe any money to your company. **I would really appreciate some help with this matter.**Thank you,*Carla Marchut
