Microsoft email login failing to send verification message

If you're experiencing difficulties with verification messages not sending during login, it could be due to a few reasons. One possibility may be network issue. Make sure that you are connected to a stable internet connection. If you're using a VPN, it might be causing conflicts, so try disabling it. If your email account is new, sometimes it may take a few hours for all features to become functional. You may also want to check your spam or junk folders for the verification message. If message delivery to your inbox is delayed, it might be due to high email traffic. Try waiting for a few minutes and then send the verification email again. If you continue experiencing this issue, it may be a sign of technical problem that needs further help.

Ik kan geen e-mail ontvangen of verzenden

Dit probleem kan te maken hebben met uw internetverbinding, e-mailinstellingen of Outlook zelf. Controleer of uw internetverbinding goed functioneert.

I get over 1,000 spam email every month in my in-box, etc.

Microsoft Outlook offers features to combat this issue. You can create 'Junk Email' rules to filter out spam. Go to the "Home" tab, then "Junk" > "Junk Email Options" and choose the level of junk email protection suited for you. Also, you can block certain senders or even specific countries or languages. In addition to that, ensure your email is not publicly displayed online where spammers can harvest it. Remember not to open suspicious emails, or click on unknown links as they can signal spammers that your email address is active. If junk mail is becoming overwhelming, it would be worth considering changing your email address.

not receiving verification emails

If you're not receiving verification emails from Microsoft Outlook, it could be due to a few reasons. First, check your "Spam" or "Junk" folders to see if the email was filtered there. Next, confirm that your email address is entered correctly and is the one registered with your account. Another common issue is with email providers unintentionally blocking emails, so ensure Microsoft is on your approved senders list. Lastly, server delays may cause emails to arrive later than expected. Please be patient and allow some time for it to arrive. If the issue persists without resolution, you may need to reach out to Microsoft directly or to your email service provider for assistance.

That doesn't match the phone number associated with your account. The correct number ends in 12.

This message means that the phone number you have entered in the account recovery options does not match the one on file. Do ensure you are entering the last two digits correctly. If the problem persists, double-check that you have the correct account selected. If all the details are accurate and you're still experiencing the issue, this might be due to a possibility that the account's security information was changed. You'll need to wait for a 30-day period before you can update it again without the old phone number. This is a security feature designed to prevent unauthorized changes to your account.
