MHAMBREY*Date: June **, ******Here are my encounter details with MAGNAVOX product:*****Owned “ZV***MW*A” device from December, **** to May **th, *******Serial Number: D********* Manufactured in December, ********Now I own “MDR***H*F*”* Serial number: J********* Manufactured in September, **** J.*** *Unit in ** above is connected to VIZIO wide screen TV model E***i-B*using audio*video W*R*Y cables. NO CONNECTION IS MADE YET USING HDMI CABLE!!**ISSUE * *: THIS IS VERY VERY IMPRTANT ISSUE FOR ME!!!!!!!***A**Used HOME button, selected SETTING icon* selected VIDEO* selected VIDEO option,***selected “ASPECT RATIO” of “*:* BOX”, pressed OK.**B**Selected a channel of TV.**C**Pressed “DVD” button on remote control.**D**Pressed “(sub)MENU”, selected “RECORDING MODE”, selected “SLP” option then pressed OK.**E* *Pressed red “RECORD” button on remote control.**F**Recorded a TV show for few minutes and the pressed “STOP” button of control and pressed “YES” to dis continue the recording.**G* *Then recorded three different times, from the same TV channel show, by changing the aspect ratio of ** above to “*:* PAN & ZOOM”, “**:* WIDE SCREEN” and **: * WIDE SCREEN SQUEEZED**A***Followed the same steps from A* to G* except in step C* pressed “HDD*EXTEND” button of the remote control. Also in step D* changed the option to appropriate requirement for HDD.**B** Recorded the show form the TV channel * times by changing the video aspect ratio as stated in A* and G*.**I compared the outcome of eight show recordings. Here below are the findings: **a* *The shows recordings on “DVD” were all, I repeat, all were having “VERY DESTORTED” images what I mean is that the faces were elongated and the figures were squeezed. **b* *The shows that were recorded on HDD followed the aspect ratios perfect! That is the way I used to have the recordings on DVD when I used my old unit (“ZV***MW*A”). NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL!!**c**When I tried to copy the recording with the aspect ratios of “*:* Box” and “*:* Pan & Zoom” from HDD to DVD using the debugging option of “HOME” button, the recordings on the DVD were again observed to be totally distorted.***QUESTION:*Will you please explain me step by step how to correct this issue of recording on “DVD”?***Issue * *:**A* *When I scanned for TV channels using the “AUTO” option, it picked up only ** channels.**B**Then I used the option to scan manually, it started the process same as if I had selected the auto option, however this time it picked up addition * channels making the total of channels found to be **. **C**When I had used the unit “ZV***MW*A”, I had total of ** channels.**QUESTION:*So how do I add additional six channels that are available for viewing in this metropolitan area?***Issue * *:***The normal dubbing speed is one to one ratio from HDD to DVD and vice versa!**QUESTION:**How can I increase the dubbing speed, when I am dubbing the recorded show from HDD to DVD or vice a versa!***Issue * *:***The ***tles on HDD can be protected individually.**QUESTION:**How can I protect the individual ***le on DVD?***Issue * *:***I loaded the new “MDR***H*F*” unit with a DVD that was previously recorded on “ZV***MW*A” and had almost five hours of taping space left. When I tried to tape on this DVD, a new ***le, it gave me a message stating that “the DVD is already finalized”. I tried to undo the finalizing by using the media manager of the home button, it will only activate the option of “INITIALIZE”! I do not wish to initialize the DVD as will it lose the important ***le that was already recorded using “ZV***MW*A”. It will not activate the option of finalize!***QUESTION:**So tell me how can I undo the finalizing of this DVD?**************************************************************************************************************************************************************Time here in USA is “NOON on Friday, June *th. I will be in the library to use the computer facility till **:**p.m.**So will you please send the reply ASAP as I only come to the library once in two weeks to use the facility?
