Garage door glides down and then slams shut

It sounds like your LiftMaster garage door opener may be having an issue with its closing force setting or its travel limits. Pair fob with lift master gate actuator

To pair a fob with a LiftMaster gate actuator, first, find the "Learn" button on the motor unit of the actuator. Press and immediately release the "Learn" button. Then, within 30 seconds, press and hold the button on your fob. Release the button when the motor light blinks, indicating successful pairing. If the light doesn't blink, try the process again making sure to press and release the "Learn" button quickly. If you continue to have problems, ensure your fob is compatible with your LiftMaster gate actuator model.

Light stays on for 4.5 minutes and I would like to reduce the time

The Light Timer on the LiftMaster garage door opener is factory set to stay on for 4.5 minutes. However, you can adjust the duration by pressing and holding the light button on the wall-mounted Door Control, not on the remote, for 10 seconds until the LED starts blinking. Each blink equates to 1.5 minutes. When it blinks the number of times corresponding to the desired duration, release the button. Suppose you want the light to stay on for only 1.5 minutes. In that case, you should release the button once it starts to blink. Please remember, each full Light Timer cycle is 4.5 minutes, and it can't be set to any fraction thereof.
