I received a call today from #[redacted] but missed it. When I called back, it went straight to a recording saying "Thank you for calling Iowa Dept. of Revenue," which was odd. A male answered, so I questioned why they called me but he couldn't explain. I hung up and called back, and a female confirmed it was the IDR. I asked why they had a Florida area code if they were in Iowa, but she had no response. I warned them that I had their number in case of any suspicious activities, and she promptly hung up. I submitted my rent rebate papers at the office along with a friend. We handed them in to the same person. While my friend has received an automated confirmation that hers has been received, I have not received any notification that mine has been recorded. Despite calling daily, the system still does not show my submission as recorded. My last name starts with a D, whereas my friend's starts with a J. It's puzzling why hers would be acknowledged for about a week, and mine has not been.

I am seeking assistance with the Will of Marjorie L. Barnett, who passed away on March 29, [redacted]. The will solely consists of money and no other assets or properties. The issue lies in the fact that despite the executor submitting all required paperwork to the attorney on August 17th, [redacted], the attorney insists that the estate cannot be settled until the State notifies him about the received documents. With the estate being valued at over $[redacted],[redacted], we are puzzled about whether the State is causing the delay in finalizing the settlement of this estate. Thank you.

I have been trying to reach out to the Iowa Department of Revenue by calling [redacted] this morning multiple times. However, I keep getting a message about calls being monitored followed by the call hanging up on me. I am struggling to find a way to speak with a real person for help with navigating the new govconnect.com program. My situation involves owning multiple businesses in the state and wanting to consolidate them under one account instead of managing multiple email addresses. This was not an issue with the previous e-File system, and I need assistance with this matter.

I need help verifying if a tax return for [redacted] was filed. I made sure the taxes were paid but can't remember if the return was sent. During the time the taxes were due in [redacted], I was dealing with my mother's illness. I prepared both the federal and state returns. I sent a check with a voucher for the federal taxes. Usually, I e-file the federal returns, but I recently discovered that it wasn't filed, even though the taxes were paid with the voucher. Now I'm unsure if I also mailed the state return. I remember paying the taxes but don't know if the paper return was submitted.
