I filed my taxes on July 11, [redacted] using TurboTax. Despite multiple requests, my previous employers didn't send my W2s to Washington. After following up, they sent me my California and Nevada return forms, but not the Form [redacted]. Initially, I had requested the documents to be sent to an Oxford House in Yakima where I lived with other girls. Strangely, I was asked to leave shortly after the W2s were mailed there. It has been two days, and I am still waiting to hear if my file has been approved.

I have been waiting for over 70 days for my refund check. Despite repeated attempts to locate it, I have not been successful. This delay has caused me to become homeless and now I am living in the woods. I requested for the refund to be loaded onto a prepaid card, which I was initially told wasn't possible. However, I later discovered that after 21 days, it can be loaded onto a prepaid card. I provided my routing and account numbers on my income tax return, but due to an issue with the routing number, the loading process couldn't be completed. I believe the IRS should have contacted me to rectify the error instead of leaving me waiting this long. I am prepared to take further action to ensure my concerns are addressed, even if it means reaching out to media outlets. I have included my routing and account numbers in hopes that my refund can be loaded onto the prepaid card by the end of the day, as my financial situation is becoming increasingly dire.

I have been attempting to reach a representative for a few months now without success. Each time I call, the automated system thanks me for calling before disconnecting the call without any assistance. I am frustrated because my refund was returned as undeliverable to an address where I've received it in the past. The refund, which is over $[redacted], is crucial for my medical bills and survival. I earn $11 an hour and cannot afford to wait indefinitely for this money. I am extremely stressed and unable to get a resolution. I urgently need to speak to a real person to address this issue promptly.

I need help with my monthly Online Payment Agreement (OPA). When trying to log in to the IRS website (www.irs.gov/opa), I am seeing a message stating that changes to the payment plan cannot be made online. I initiated a new OPA about a month ago and was supposed to be charged on the 15th of this month according to my agreement, but the payment hasn't been processed yet. When can I expect the payment to go through?

I must say that I have never encountered a less user-friendly website experience. It's surprising that our federal government doesn't provide a more efficient service. Firstly, they ask for my first name without clarifying that a middle initial isn't accepted, causing registration issues. Then, I am timed out under the pretense of security, despite entering all details promptly. Additionally, despite providing two valid mobile numbers, they are rejected. For my wife R.'s account, we now have to wait for a letter with a code to proceed. This entire process is frustrating and far from efficient. We simply want to create an online account with the IRS to access our tax payment history for [redacted]. Is there any assistance available to navigate through this bureaucratic mess?

I received a letter dated July 1, stating that we owe $[redacted].06 for a delay in paying our [redacted] taxes due to my ill health. I sent a check on July 6, but on July 10, I discovered our account was compromised. Despite trying to contact the necessary department multiple times, I have been put on hold for up to 1 hour and 40 minutes each time. The letter specifies that this amount must be paid by July 22 to avoid additional charges. Today, I am going to the bank to obtain a cashier's check, which I will mail out promptly. This is uncharted territory for us as we have never encountered a situation like this before. Sincerely, LM.

My home was hit by a natural disaster that insurance doesn't cover. The bank approved a short sale, but rejected offers over the asking price. They now plan to hold an online auction, rejecting higher offers. They canceled the first auction, listing it lower than offers received. The concern is about owing taxes on the property despite a loss. The fear is receiving an IRS form for profits I didn't make. The bank advised against payments and promised help, which never came. The worry now is facing a hefty tax bill for a property that depleted all savings. The bank is treating the situation like a normal foreclosure, risking a huge tax bill. Assistance is needed to avoid owing taxes on the disaster property when I've lost everything. Thank you. - Svetlana

I submitted my tax return at the end of February using TurboTax online and opted for direct deposit to my prepaid debit card for my refund. After the expected refund date passed, I contacted a representative who explained that the delay might be due to including an old tax return. I was advised to wait for a letter, which arrived stating I should allow 90 days from the mailing date to receive my refund. This waiting period has passed, and I am yet to receive any updates. How should I proceed with this matter?

After contacting the IRS to verify my identity based on previous tax returns, the issue of being flagged for identity theft persisted even after waiting nine weeks. The IRS informed me that more time was needed, and I would receive a CP05A letter. After finally checking my mail, I found the letter last Thursday, stating I had until July 11, [redacted], to submit additional documents and an Identity Theft Affidavit. Can I still send this information to aid in the verification process?

I e-filed my [redacted] taxes using Turbotax in January [redacted], as I have done for years. I work for DoDEA and have filed my taxes from overseas for the last 25 years. In March-April, I received a letter from the IRS regarding my tax refund, but I can't find it after moving back to the USA. The letter seemed legit, so I called the number provided since my refund was delayed. After a 45-minute call with the IRS, they mentioned my refund should be in my account by May. However, it never arrived. When checking "where's my refund" on the IRS website, it still shows as "being processed." This is unprecedented for me. I've tried contacting the IRS without success. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. - M. Dame

I filed my taxes back in February [redacted] and still have not received my refund. The IRS website says they are still processing it and will provide an update when available. I have received multiple letters from the IRS that were meant for my ex-husband who is an immigrant and currently out of status. He opened and responded to them without my knowledge. I am concerned about him having access to my family's personal information. I would appreciate speaking with someone to address this situation promptly. My name is Monica Lechuga Rivas, you can reach me via email at [redacted] and by phone at [redacted]. Thank you.

For the last two years, my tax refunds were meant to clear my tuition and fee debts, but neither the debtor nor the collections agency has received the payment. Despite IRS letters confirming the allocation of funds to these debts, they remain unpaid. This has led to wage garnishment, significantly impacting my already tight finances. I struggle to cover essential bills and commute to work due to these unexpected deductions. The discrepancy in the debt balance is also concerning, as it has surged from $[redacted] to $[redacted] without explanation. I urgently seek clarification on the whereabouts of my funds and the reasons behind the debt discrepancies to resolve this frustrating situation.

Two years ago, I was informed that I owed state taxes for [redacted] based on an income of approximately $60,[redacted], which is incorrect as I've been on SSI Disability since [redacted] and have not been working. The State of Minnesota needs verification from the IRS regarding my disability status. While attempting to resolve this, I was directed to call to address the issue. Due to my fluctuating health (including three surgeries in [redacted]), I have been physically and cognitively unable to handle this situation. Without resolving this tax matter, I cannot claim a state property tax refund. Time constraints may lead to forfeiting the first year's refund. I am seeking guidance through this process as I cannot afford a tax attorney and have not found suitable assistance from disability support agencies. Can anyone provide assistance to help me navigate this issue?

In [redacted], I was looking into Studio 7 in West Covina, CA. The counselor granted us a 5-7 day deciding period for the program, warning of responsibility for a loan if we withdrew later. On the 3rd day, I opted out as it didn't meet my expectations. However, the aftermath has been a nightmare. Despite explaining the situation to the IRS over the years, they continually withheld my refund, only to return it later. Now, with four kids, they haven't been responsive. After months of being passed around, I lost my refund, had my wages garnished without any prior notice from the IRS, Student Loan office, or Human Resources. I am not in debt. This has led to my eviction and I am considering seeking legal advice.

After receiving my [redacted] tax refund, I discovered my parents claimed me as their dependent, which I was unaware of at the time of filing. I need to amend my return to reflect this change. I have reviewed the instructions for amending a return and cannot find a specific box on the 1040X form related to being claimed as a dependent by someone else. I am uncertain whether this will impact my refund or standard deduction. Can anyone provide guidance on how to properly reflect this change on the 1040X form?

Dear Sir/Madam, I am a nonresident alien on a J1 status. Last year, I did not have to pay Social Security and Medicare taxes, as it was my second calendar year. However, in December [redacted], these taxes were deducted accidentally, and my employer, the University of Colorado, couldn't correct it the following month. I was instructed to claim it back this year. I filled out Form [redacted] along with my 1040NR and state tax form and submitted them to the appropriate authorities. While I received my requested Federal and State tax refunds a few months ago, I have yet to receive any response regarding my SS and Medicare tax claim. Could you please advise me on how to check the status of my claim and provide information on whom I should contact directly for updates? Thank you in advance for your assistance. Best regards, Zoltan K.

I recently received a CP301 letter from the IRS instructing me to visit irs.gov/online services and enter my activation code. However, I encountered an issue as I did not see a place to input the activation code. My aim is to confirm my identity in order to set up an online account with the IRS. Among the verification options provided, I tried to use my student loan account number without success. Consequently, I opted for receiving a verification code by mail. I am seeking assistance on how to successfully verify my identity to proceed with creating my online IRS account.
