We arrived at IHOP store * **** at about **:** a.m. on ******** in Grand Rapids, MI. We were told it would take ** to ** minutes before our party of * could be seated and we were seated about ** p.m. Our drinks were brought and order was taken about **:** p.m. ... At **:** p.m. we had not received our order and others who were seated after us had received their order. I went to find our waitress, *** Jordan V., and told her it had been ** minutes since she took our order. She said she would check ... another five minutes passed and I went back to her again and she was in front of the cook's food window look at different food orders ... I made eye contact with her and she indicated that my order was ready* another *-* minutes she finally brought our order ... the chees on our omelettes looked like the orders had been sitting for a while ... I can only conclude that Jordan V. forgot about our order and about us ... while it was busy when we first arrived, it slowed down considerably ... we finished our meal around *:** p.m. but I asked her to check us out when she brought us the food ... time on our receipt was *:** p.m. So we ordered our food at **:** p.m. but did not receive it until about *:** p.m. IHOP is our family's favorite restaurant, but this slow service was a real downer for me as our two juvenile granddaughters and we patiently waited an hour for our meals to arrive.*Respectfully yours,*Alan D.
