The issue in GetHuman-starmapp's own words
When I signed up I was asked how much data I thought I'd use. I had a pretty good idea of this and said ** GB. When I checked my plan, I found I had ** GB, which is not enough since I use the internet extensively in my work. We live off grid and have few choices for internet. I came to Hughes from AT&T who a week or so ago switched me without notice from my truly unlimited data plan to their ** GB with throttling. Someone once told me never to let the earlier plan go because it wasn't offered anymore. I called Hughes to see if an upgrade were available, and they increased me to ** GB—undesirable. I asked if more were available but was now told not in my zip code. Resolution really resembles *** kbs, even though repeated internet speed tests show it is at or better than the claimed ** kbs. I still have AT&T connected, and the speed test on both my iPhone wifi and the mobile jet pack are similar to Hughesnet, yet the resolution is measurably better. Indeed, my computer connects to the jet pack in seconds each time, such as a YouTube ****P stream while the Hughesnet modem just took over ** seconds to connect to the same video. I feel it was deceptive not to inform me of my zip code circumstance. And the bottom line is that it just doesn't' perform very well. I no longer desire to maintain the service.

GetHuman-starmapp did not yet indicate what Hughesnet should do to make this right.
