On August **th Fred's Pharmacy Highway ** East dispensed the wrong medication Meclizine **mg instead of the medication ordered by physician. This medication was picked up on August **th and I began taking this medication. I received a call from primary doctor's nurse I inquired about the Meclizine **mg po that was received from pharmacy and was told by nurse Promethazine **mg Po was ordered not Meclizine. She then stated let me call the pharmacy to get your correct medicine straight. She then called me back after speaking with pharmacy and told me to return Meclizine **mg to pharmacy and pick up the correct medicine. I placed call to Fred's Corporate Memphis, Tennessee and spoke with clinical pharmacist to inform that Fred's Pharmacy in Greenville had dispensed wrong medicine and I had taken ** tablets out of ** with severe nausea and vomiting for the last week. Wasbtold that she was going to connect me with customer service, and that I should receive a call from one of the District Manager and the medication error should be reported also. I left message with customer service several times received return calls was told that I also would get a call from District Manager. As a matter of fact was told by clinical pharmacist this error should have been caught before leaving store. I also spoke with Corporate office on ********* talked to Customer Support System to call Fred's Pharmacy. Discussed with gentleman that I was trying to work with Fred's Pharmacy outside of court and informed of the severe nausea*vomiting while taking the wrong dispensed medication. He said SC that he would notify pharmacy in Greenville, highway ** East. I received call from Charlie Bell on the next morning offering a gift card. I was also called by Fred's Pharmacy again today by John Wong informing of gift card still there to be picked up. This is absolutely not a fair settlement I will not pickup gift card and will pursue the matter legally if Fred's Pharmacy cannot offer and pay a fair amount. A gift card behind this is like a slap in the face and insult to my intelligence. The correct medicine Promethazine **mg Po was picked up on September *th and Meclizine **mg Po returned after taking photo of medication bottle with photo and also photo of remaining tablets. Had more medicine to pick up September *th was given another bottle of Meclizine **mg Po ** tabs. Placed call to pharmacy was told by young lady in pharmacy I saw that Meclizine was with your meds again but I wasn't here when it was prepared. Wow what about teamwork, is someone trying to kill me! This was on a Saturday so the Meclizine was returned on Tuesday September **th again. I would appreciate prompt attention and fair settlement to settle this matter but if not as previously stated I will proceed legally. I also took photos of Meclizine **mg Po that I was given a second time and also photo of leaflet information that is given with medications. My phone number is ***-***-****.
