After falling ill due to 9/11, I contacted the airlines for information on what items were allowed. Unfortunately, I received inaccurate information. They confiscated my wheeled cart, leaving me to carry a heavy weekender, causing me to miss my flight. When I boarded the next one, it was far from the gate. With health issues like heart problems, tumors, nodules, and COPD, I struggled to walk with the heavy bag. Sitting down, Delta staff called the police without checking on my well-being. I was handcuffed, dragged into an EMS vehicle, and taken to Jamaica Hospital where my physical condition was finally addressed. This entire ordeal left me with destroyed belongings and severe distress, adding to my post-traumatic stress disorder. It was a nightmarish experience.
