BR********-* is my booking reference. We were supposed to stay for * nights from Aug **. Yesterday (Aug **) Riviera Autrement, the agency that we booked the apartment with, informs us that the owner would not be renting his flat for that week and that someone in the booking Agency forgot to tell us about this. They offered an apartment that was way below standards of our requirement. I finally called and spoke to someone called Romain and he apologized and promised to get back to me today. Haven*t Heard any word from Riviera Autrement. My issue is, on such short notice, as clients, don*t we have the right to demand that they fix this issue even if it means that they arrange another accommodation with an upgrade? Now I have to start "hunting" for new places to live. Aside from returning our money (if we or they fail to find satisfactory accommodations , don*t we get some kind of compensation? I am now already searching hotels in the hope that we have better luck but they are of course more expensive since we will be needing * rooms. I hope you can arbitrate this very unpleasant and unprofessional problem. regards*Dods

Flipkey never contacted me. It was TripAdvisor that did. They seem to be owned by the same people and that is quite confusing. The Fench agency, Riviera Autrement finally called and informed me that they would notify TA of their cancellation so that I could get my money back. So next time I won t be using the FlipKey site and just go direct to TAnwho has a more customer friendly site. So hopefully I do get reimbursement in a few weeks. Thank you to the gethuman site
