The issue in GetHuman-sgbuter's own words
Dear DELL,*I believe you cannot help me (as you told me), but I think my case should be of major interest for you.**I have been in touch with your (DELL) Customer and Tech Services, because of an issue I have been experiencing with an XPS **** laptop I have bought from the reseller Currys, on the past November ****. The issue I am speaking about concerns the service tag number of the product, that according to you (DELL) is not valid, and does not match any of your products. According to DELL Tech Service (see attached previous correspondence), the laptop in object has probably been built with refurbished parts, or an intervention was made on it. As you might guess, I have actually been sold this laptop as a DELL brand NEW laptop, and I paid the full cost for it, that matched the price that was shown on your online store at that time.**Unfortunately, I have not been able to receive any assistant from the reseller (Currys) about this issue. I have spent hours dialing with them, I have sent out many emails, but they say they are not able (or do not want, if what your technician is stating transpires to be true) to solve this issue.**It seems to me I have been victim of a fraud, and I will probably not be able to sort this out. I believe it is not your responsibility. However, I think it should be of major interest for you that, according to what your technician says, there are resellers (Currys in this case), that sells items with your brand that are actually not truly DELL products. I would like then to kindly suggest you to increase your effort, and take opportune actions in order to prevent this kind of unpleasant situations happening in the future.**Please feel free to get in touch if you need more information.**Regards,*Dr. Salvatore Butera***-----------------****ATTACHMENTS****-----------------**-------------------------------------------------------------------*From: *Trifescu.T*****@***.com**Date: ****-**-** **:** GMT***:***Subject: RE: XPS **** - Not recognised Service Tag Number*To: *****@***.com, *****@***.com*-------------------------------------------------------------------**Hello,**From our research we have no information on this Pc, as already communicated this might be a case where the Pc was built with refurbished parts or an intervention was made and they forgot to change the service tag, in both case the reseller should provide assistance.**Please provide assistance to your customer or contact DELL with a correct service tag.**Regards!** *--------------------------------------------------------------------*From: Salvatore Giulio Butera *mailto:*****@***.com**Sent: Monday, August **, **** *:** PM*To: *****@***.com* Teodor, Trifescu - Dell Team*Subject: XPS **** - Not recognised Service Tag Number*--------------------------------------------------------------------**Dear Mr. Trifescu, dear Currys Customer Service,**as suggested from a previous conversation with the Dell Tech Support Team, I write this email and ask your help in order solve the not recognised "Service Tag" issue I am experiencing with my XPS **** laptop. The codes I find reported on both the tag beneath the laptop and the BIOS are the following**Service Tag: CM**QC**Express Service Code: *************I attach you the pictures of the product, where you can find the above codes. I also attach to the email copy of the purchase receipt and invoice, dated on the **********.**Since I need urgent technical support for the laptop, I kindly ask both the Dell Tech Service and Currys to make the effort and fruitfully cooperate in order to solve this problem as soon as possible.**I look forward to hear from you at your earliest convenience. Thanks you in advance for your help.**Yours Sincerely,*Dr. Salvatore Butera
