I have had a Capresso Plus kettle for around a year now. After using one at a friend's place and receiving one as a gift, I was thrilled with its appearance and quick boiling capabilities. The kettle takes pride of place on my kitchen counter for making tea. Despite only using filtered water, it has always had a strange odor inside. The water it produces tastes and smells like burnt wires, making tea undrinkable. I have tried various methods to eliminate the odor and taste, such as boiling with lemon juice, but nothing has been successful. I am disappointed by this persistent issue. A friend who also owns a Capresso Plus kettle has not encountered this problem. I contacted customer service and followed their recommendation to boil the kettle with lemon juice, but the odor remains. I am eager to find a solution and have a reliable kettle for everyday use.
