I had a credit card with Capital One where my payment was always on time, never late! Capital One payments started being returned and I had no idea why because I’ve had more than enough money in my bank account to cover what I’ve tried to deposit. Well I called the bank to see about the returning payments and found out that the bank has a * transaction a month regulation law, never knew this I swear! I just seen that the extra money I tried to deposit on my card kept being returned. I just ordered a new credit card because unauthorized charges were being applied to my account! So I received the new card by mail and tried to activate it, my account online kept saying there is no cards to activate and I just gotten it in the mail. By now it’s the next month and on my first transaction with the bank I tried to pay my bill, not extra money on card other than tried to pay $*** and credit limit is $***. A couple of days after sending this payment it has been returned, okay something is really wrong and I called Capital One telling the customer service lady I can’t activate my new card and my payment has been returned, she tells me to hold while she finds out what the problem was. She finally returns to tell me that my account had been closed due to returning payments. I said “I had just received this new credit card and why did they send me a new card just to tell me that my account was closed. I told her about the banks * transactions regulation and seemed just as surprised as I was when I was told that news, she tell me to hold to see if there’s anything she can try to do because of this ridiculous rule but she tells me there’s no ensuring that they will do anything, even though I have never missed any payments, never have been late on any payments and there’s never been a reason to actually have a reason to close my account! They closed the account because of the banks flaw, not mines. The money that was returned were extra deposits to cover my credit balance on the card, not payments I owed . Well Capital One had also flagged the payments from the bank which caused me to be unable to pay my bills, remember I just tried to deposit a payment of $***, I think it is more but can’t remember but being flagged I couldn’t pay and started receiving late fees. I have a couple of them now, I tried to call Capital One to let them know I can not pay them because of the flag and the guy told me that wasn’t true, you can see the returned $*** and my limit is only $*** and this is on the *st of the month which means first transaction of the month. I Just want to know if Capital One can waive the late fees cause they can see I have made a attempt to pay them and can they unflagging the bank so I can pay, cause my savings is the only way I can pay! If they reinstate my account I would really be greatful because I was a loyal customer that paid on time all the time
