I received a bill one year later from date of service for my brother (Richard Scheidt) who is now deceased from Kurtz Ambulance Service in the amount of $*,***.** for a *.* mile transport to St. Joe's Hospital in Joliet on ********. Bill is dated *******. Kurtz states BCBS denied the claim on ******* due to incorrect coding. It was recoded and sent back to BCBS and was denied again. Richard had a stroke and needed the transport to the hospital and later passed on ********. Please either authorize part of this ridiculous (price gouging bill from Kurtz) or all of it. Please update me on resolution. I have been on hold with BCBS now for ** minutes and haven't been able to speak to anyone. I am his POA*Executor. Jonine Scheidt, ***-***-****
