I met a friend at Applebees who came from Alabama to the store on Thornton Road in Georgia to have an early dinner. When we walked inside there wasn't anyone at the front (Hostess) to seat us. We waited for ** min before anyone acknowledged us. A man came up to us..not in Applebees attire, and said someone will be with yall in a minute. They don't have a hostess. At the same time there was a lady waiting off on the side who was complaining because she ordered her food along time ago and she has been waiting for an hour to get it when she said they told her it would be ready in ** mins. A lady came from the back...must have been a manager and she said how many you got *? Never said hello thanks you for waiting or apologize that we had been waiting to be seated. She took us to our table where we had to step over food and dinnerware on the floor because one of the waitresses drop a whole tray of cooked food on the floor. We got seated where we waited for another ** mins before anyone came to us to ask of what we would like to drink. Finally the waitress comes and says what can I get you to drink. I ordered water and my friend ordered sweet tea. The waitress said I am sorry but the tea is brewing now and will not be ready for ** mins. She said would like water until then while the tea is making. Agreed. ** mins later the waitress comes back to the table with the tea and waters. She waited in the back until the tea was done because I was looking for her for our water. My friend said did you wait for the tea to be done instead of bringing us water while we wait. She laughed and said kind of. My friend ordered Ribs, and a baked potato and I ordered Fettuccine with chicken and shrimp. The waitress said you know that's extra don't you? Which I did know that it's just the way she said it. We received out food ** mins later. My friends ribs were burnt and he asked the waitress several times for BBQ sauce and some wet naps. Every time she walked by out table she kept saying Oh yeah I keep forgetting to bring your sauce and wet naps. After the *rd time of asking her she finally brought it. My food was the worse. I think they left my food out while the ribs were being cooked. It did not have any heat to it nor was there any steam coming from it. I stirred it up took a bite and just as I expected it was cold! I asked for the waitress again and she was not happy about me returning the dish because it was cold. She apologized for it being cold but her apologize was not sincere. She came back ** mins later with a new bowl of fettuccine that had sprinkled cheese on top which the first plate I got did not have the cheese on top. I stirred the food up and wouldn't you know it. The pasta was hard and they stuck together, it was watered down, I counted * shrimps and it had no taste. I was like "Is this a prank" on us in here today. I could not believe it!! I called the waitress back over and showed her the food? She acted as if she was not interested in what I was saying and was just rolling her eyes. I asked could I get a free appetizer and she said the only thing free I can get is chips and salsa. I told her no thank you then. I asked her if her manager knows about my friends ribs burnt or my food being taken back * times? She said yes. I said she doesn't want to come and talk to us or apologize? She said do you want me to go get her. I told her NO I would have thought she would have came over to our table when there was a problem. She never came or offered anything to us. I have never been to Applebees but I have seen the commercials and have wanted to try it. Well the first time was the worst time. We spent a total of *, * and half hours there and the whole time we never received customer service or good food. As I looked out the window several times I noticed * ladies sitting in their car waiting on curbside service. Finally a lady got out of her car, slammed the door, came into the side door and started fussing loudly because she had been waiting at the curbside service for ** mins. What she was waiting for I don't know. The few employees that were in there were in the back all looking at me because our waitress must have told them what was going on at our table so everyone were starring at me. If I knew who the CEO was or their email I would send a message to them. This was the worst place I have ever been too. Tables hadn't been cleaned off from previous families eating there, the waitress that dropped the tray of food only picked up partial of it off the floor, lady complaining at the door when you first come in, the lady at the curbside that came in complaining, the nasty food that was served to me * times, my friends burnt ribs and the poor service from the waitress and a terrible manager that never asked what was going on or apologize for the cook that did not cook very good that day. The couple that sat behind my friend, turned around and said my food was not good either and the waitress sat down at our booth to take our order saying she's tired today. I asked for the ticket and she asked me did I want to take my fettuccine off the bill?? I said are you serious right now??? Did I eat either of the meals that were brought out to me? My friend paid the bill which I wouldn't have since my ribs were burnt but he traveled * and half hours of driving and he was hungry so he scraped the burnt off and ate it.
