I paid for two premium economy tickets on Air China and when we arrived to check in for the flight, our seats had disappeared. Air China decided to change planes and removed the premium economy option. So they moved our seats to the regular economy section. I explained that I had paid for Premium Economy at the check in desk and I either wanted my refund for the upgrade or they needed to upgrade my seats to business class. The check in representative told me that the plane was "full" and that they would have upgraded us if there were seats available. We reluctantly took our seats in economy class. Low and behold, there were plenty of seats available that they could have upgraded us to. The check in agent lied to us. I would like a refund for the upgrade that I paid for.
