What is the eligibility criteria for membership?

To become a member of Tropical Financial Credit Union, there are a few eligibility criteria to fulfill. First, you must live, work, worship, or attend school in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Hendry, or Monroe counties in South Florida. Additionally, individuals who are employed by any of our Select Employer Groups (SEGs) are also eligible for membership. These SEGs cover a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, government, and more. Family members of existing Tropical Financial members are also eligible to join. To become a member, you need to open a savings account with a minimum deposit of $5. Applying for membership can be done online or at any of our branch locations.
