What is the difference between a real estate agent and a Realtor?

Asked a year ago
A real estate agent is a professional who has obtained a license to assist with buying and selling properties. They have completed the necessary education and training to fulfill the legal requirements in their state. On the other hand, a Realtor is a real estate agent who is also a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Realtors follow a strict code of ethics and conduct that sets them apart from regular agents. They are committed to upholding professional standards and providing excellent service to their clients. By choosing a Realtor, consumers can expect a higher level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism. While all Realtors are real estate agents, not all real estate agents are Realtors.
