What are the weight and size restrictions for commercial vehicles in Ohio?

Asked a year ago
In Ohio, commercial vehicles must adhere to weight and size restrictions to ensure safe transportation on our roads. Weight limits vary depending on the type of roadway, with the maximum allowable weight being 80,000 pounds for most commercial vehicles. However, certain circumstances, such as bridges, may have lower weight limits posted for safety reasons. When it comes to size restrictions, commercial vehicles must not exceed 8 feet 6 inches in width, 13 feet 6 inches in height, and 45 feet in length for single-unit vehicles. For combination vehicles, the maximum length allowed is 53 feet. It is important for commercial vehicle operators to be familiar with these regulations and ensure compliance to avoid penalties and protect our infrastructure.
