Can I renew my driver's license online?

Asked a year ago
Yes, you can renew your driver's license online in New York. As of now, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) allows eligible drivers to conveniently renew their licenses through its online platform. To be eligible, you must have a license that expires within one year or is expired for no longer than two years. Additionally, you must be at least 16 years old, have a Social Security Number on record, and not have any outstanding suspensions or revocations. The online renewal process requires you to create a MyDMV account, confirm your identity, and pay the renewal fee using a credit or debit card. Once the renewal is complete, you will receive your new driver's license by mail within ten days.
