What are the voting requirements in New Jersey?

Asked 7 months ago
In order to vote in New Jersey, you must be a United States citizen and a resident of the state for at least 30 days prior to the election. You must be at least 18 years old by the day of the election. Additionally, individuals must be registered to vote at their current address. Voter registration forms are available both online and in-person. Eligible citizens who have been convicted of a crime but have completed their sentence, including parole and probation, have the right to vote in New Jersey. Same-day voter registration is available during the early voting period and on Election Day. Acceptable forms of identification include a New Jersey driver's license, state-issued identification card, military or student ID, US passport, or another government-issued document that includes your name and address.
