What types of orthodontic treatments are available?

Asked a year ago
There are several types of orthodontic treatments available to address various dental issues. One common option is traditional metal braces, which use metal brackets and wires to gradually move teeth into proper alignment. Clear aligners, such as Invisalign, are another popular choice, offering a more discreet treatment option. These custom-made, removable trays are virtually invisible and can be easily taken out for eating and cleaning. Lingual braces are also available, where the brackets are placed on the back of the teeth instead of the front. Additionally, there are self-ligating braces that use a specialized clip to hold the wire, reducing friction. Dentofacial orthopedics aims to correct the relationship between the jaw and the teeth. The best orthodontic treatment will depend on the individual's specific needs, so it is advisable to consult with a qualified orthodontist to determine the most suitable option.
