What is WHOIS privacy protection and how can I enable it?

Asked a year ago
WHOIS privacy protection is a service offered by Domain People that helps protect the privacy of domain owners. When a domain is registered, personal contact information such as name, email address, and phone number is stored in a public WHOIS database. This exposed information can invite spam, identity theft, and unwanted contact. WHOIS privacy protection replaces the owner's personal details with generic contact information, shielding their identity. To enable this service, simply log in to your Domain People account, access the domain management panel, and locate the WHOIS privacy protection option for your desired domain. Enable the feature, and Domain People will handle the rest, ensuring that your personal information is kept confidential while still complying with ICANN's guidelines.
