What are the requirements for becoming a notary public in Colorado?

Asked 6 months ago
To become a notary public in Colorado, there are a few requirements you must meet. First, you must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States. You must also be able to read, write, and understand English. Additionally, you must successfully complete a notary public training course approved by the Secretary of State. After completing the training, you will need to complete an application, pay the required fees, and provide a surety bond in the amount of $5,000. Finally, you must pass a written examination administered by the Secretary of State. Once you have met all these requirements and your application has been approved, you will be issued a notary public commission that is valid for four years.
