What are the different water rate structures?

Asked 6 months ago
The Coachella Valley Water District offers three different water rate structures to meet the diverse needs of our customers. These structures include a Domestic and Irrigation (DI) metered rate, an all DI rate, and a Landscape Maintenance Rate (LMR). The DI metered rate is designed for customers with separate meters for domestic usage and landscape irrigation, allowing for greater flexibility and control over water consumption. The all DI rate is suitable for customers using a single meter for both domestic and irrigation purposes. The LMR is tailored for customers with large landscape areas and provides a lower rate for water used exclusively for landscape maintenance. These rate structures ensure that customers pay for water usage based on their specific requirements, promoting conservation and reducing water waste.
