What are the regulations for trash and recycling collection?

Asked 6 months ago
The City of Huntington Beach has certain regulations and guidelines in place for trash and recycling collection. Residents are required to place their trash and recycling bins at the curbside no earlier than 6:00 p.m. the night before their scheduled collection day. Bins should be placed at least three feet apart and away from vehicles and other obstacles. It is important to ensure that all trash and recycling materials are properly contained within the designated bins, with lids closed to prevent spillage and littering. Hazardous materials and sharp objects must not be placed in the trash bins and should be disposed of at specific collection sites. Additionally, bulky items such as furniture and appliances should be scheduled for collection or taken to the appropriate disposal facility.
