The cost of a Fastrak transponder is $20, which includes a $10 prepaid toll balance. This initial cost covers the purchase and activation of the device. Additionally, customers who wish to purchase a Fastrak transponder online are required to add a minimum of $20 to their prepaid toll balance. If the toll balance drops below $10, it will automatically be replenished using the credit card on file. The $20 prepaid toll balance can be used towards paying tolls on Bay Area toll bridges, express lanes, and Bay Area bridges. Customers are responsible for any additional fees associated with parking at Fastrak-operated parking facilities or using Fastrak on express lanes outside of the Bay Area.
