I recently bought a new license tab online and had it delivered to my home by the Poulsbo DMV. The customer service was prompt, and I received the tab and registration paper within a week. Unfortunately, when I tried to apply the new tab, I found it to be very brittle and not sticky enough. I had to use mailing tape to attach it to my license plate. Since I knew this was a temporary fix, I visited the Poulsbo DMV in person the following Tuesday to address the issue. The staff was helpful and issued me a new tab and registration paper for a $13 fee. I questioned this charge as the original tab was faulty. The staff mentioned that returning the tab on the same day could have avoided the fee, but the office was closed. I paid the fee for the new tab but believe the additional cost should be refunded to me. Thank you for your attention to this matter. S.R.

I am currently dealing with my late father's estate from [redacted] and while trying to finalize the probate, I encountered two tow bills in his name, which are actually mine. We share the same name, with me as Michael Lee Heckart the second. I need documentation of the vehicles I owned to demonstrate that these bills are mine and not his. Despite the bills being incurred years after his passing, they are affecting the estate settlement process. Any guidance or assistance you can offer in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently working on finalizing my dad's estate through probate. However, there are two towing bills that are mistakenly being attributed to his estate, even though they are my responsibility. My name is Michael Lee Heckart II, and my father was Michael Heckart the first. These bills are for a Dodge Dakota and a Ford Escape that were impounded after his passing. Although I had sold both vehicles, the new owners did not transfer them, and I failed to file a seller's report. I believe I need to provide documentation of the vehicles I had owned. Do I need to visit your office, or is there another way to handle this situation?

Yesterday morning, on March 27th, someone stole the rear license plate from my [redacted] Kia Optima. I have reported the incident to the police and obtained a case number. I now need advice on whether to contact the DMV or the DOL for further assistance. When I tried reaching out to the Department of Motor Vehicles, there seemed to be some confusion. I want to make sure I am communicating effectively with the right department to resolve this issue promptly.
