I mailed my Vermont taxes with a return due to me of $1,[redacted]. I have checked the status multiple times and it shows as received on 3/24/18. However, as of 7/20, 17 weeks have passed since then. Contacting them a month ago only confirmed that it's still in the processing queue from when they received it. This delay is frustrating as in previous years, I received my refund within a few weeks of filing in February.
I am now writing because after four months, I really need the $1,[redacted] owed to me. The prolonged wait is concerning, especially considering the interest I could have earned if I had received it earlier. Please expedite my refund.

I wrote check number [redacted] on March 29, [redacted], for $[redacted] made out to the Vermont Department of Taxes for estimated taxes Voucher 1. The check was signed by Margaret E. Marshall. Unfortunately, an empty envelope was returned to me by the postal service without the check inside. I would like to confirm if you have received the check for the mentioned amount. The check was supposed to be sent to Margaret Marshall at [redacted] Chase Hill Road, Whitingham, VT [redacted]. As of now, the status of the check being received is unknown.
