I am seeking information on removing my solar panels for a re-roof. Following this winter and into spring, I need to replace my 30-year-old roof due to multiple leaks caused by deteriorated underlayment. The leaks have led to moisture issues and potential mold growth inside my home, impacting my health. Verengo solar installed the panels about six years ago, and they mentioned a $[redacted] fee for removal and re-installation when I inquired about it during the installation. I leased the system for 20 years. How can I arrange to have the panels taken down and put back up at a later date?

After Verengo's panel installation, my roof was damaged. I reported this along with several other issues such as the wrong panels and wire gauge used, as well as missing and broken tiles. While Verengo initially fixed most issues, it seemed the leak repairs lacked proper tools, and excess tile was left on my property. Soon after, the roof started leaking again with the first rain. Despite contacting Verengo multiple times by phone and email, no one showed up to address the ongoing leak issue. I even hired two roof specialists who confirmed the problem was due to the installation. Another specialist is scheduled to assess the situation further. I'm concerned if this is a tactic to avoid honoring the warranty or if the company is simply negligent. The likely simple repair, sealing around the mounting posts, might worsen without Verengo's action. I'm troubled as the previous contacts at Verengo seem no longer associated with the company. How can this be resolved promptly before it escalates further?
