As an educator, I recently obtained a Visa Vanilla gift card worth $[redacted]. Upon trying to make purchases on Amazon, I encountered declined transactions. After verifying my balance, I discovered unauthorized charges made on Amazon that do not align with my intended purchases. Attempting to address this, I contacted customer service but encountered issues with my card number not being recognized, despite physically having the card in hand (ending in [redacted], expiration 11/29, CVC [redacted]). This gift has unfortunately turned into a frustrating situation, and I seek assistance in resolving this matter efficiently and without added stress. Any help provided would be greatly appreciated.

I am writing to report a scam that I fell victim to involving Vanilla gift cards. I was misled into purchasing these cards as part of a fraudulent government grant scheme. Despite the reassurance of a high school friend, Kim Wilcox Stohler, who applied for the same grant, I discovered that the grant was fake. The individuals involved in this scam include an agent named Carrie, with the number [redacted], and William Shore, who claimed to be the head delivery agent but never delivered the grant. Their contact numbers are [redacted] and [redacted], respectively. The FBI has been informed of this incident. The vanilla cards were bought at Walmart and Walgreens in Yakima, WA, in July [redacted]. I have kept all receipts and cards, spending a total of $9,[redacted] on various expenses related to the scam. I am interested in potentially seeking a refund or holding the scammers accountable. Please advise on the next steps. Thank you, Pamela Tilley

On July 10th, I purchased a Vanilla gift card for $40 at the Dollar General on Meridian Road. Despite having the receipt, I did not receive the funds on the card and the store claims it was activated there. I have contacted Vanilla multiple times, providing copies of my receipt, driver's license, and card, but have not made any progress. They instructed me to call back after three days, but each time I do, I am met with more delays. Today, they requested an electronic receipt from the store, but the store does not provide them. I have spoken to the store manager and corporate, showing all necessary documentation, and I am still without a resolution. All I want is to receive the money that should be on my card.

I have been attempting to contact customer service without success. I made a purchase yesterday (order #[redacted]74) and encountered issues placing a new order for additional cards. After reaching out to Brex regarding potential fraud concerns and resolving the issue, my card was still declined by Vanilla. I am seeking assistance to successfully complete my order. The latest decline reference number is [redacted].

I realized I misplaced my Visa gift card at the TJ Maxx store and couldn't locate it. The card remains unused with a $50 balance unless someone else has used it. I have the card packaging containing the card number but not the 3-digit security code. I attempted to contact customer support to halt any transactions on the card and request a replacement. Unfortunately, I was informed that a receipt is required for a replacement, which I don't have as it was a gift. I am seeking assistance in obtaining a replacement card.

I bought a $40 vanilla gift card ending in [redacted]. I used $20 at Rivers Casino, but when I tried to use the remaining $20 later, it was missing. Rivers Casino informed me that the deposit was declined, but the money is pending with them. I contacted Vanilla Gift Card, but they were unable to assist. Frustrated, I purchased another card, but the same issue occurred. Both transactions are pending, and I'm still missing $40. I took screenshots of both cards' transactions to show the pending status. I just want my money back. It may not be a lot, but $40 is $40, and this situation is truly frustrating.

I encountered issues attempting to purchase items on www.TropSunProd.com using a $50 Vanilla eGift card for a $45.07 total. Despite the transaction failing, there is a pending charge of $45.07 on the gift card. Upon speaking with TropSunProd, they indicated they did not receive the payment and advised me to request my bank to approve the transaction and verify it is legitimate. I kindly ask that you follow these instructions and remove the pending charge if it cannot be processed currently.
The transaction details are as follows:
Date: 9/10/21
Time: 2:13 AM
Status: PENDING - TROPSUNPROD.COM - O1000A34D0C1 - $45.07

I added money to my Rivers Casino account using my Rivers card for easy withdrawals. After making a $40 deposit with a Vanilla gift card, I used $20 and kept winning. However, when I tried to use the remaining $20, it was gone and showed as pending with Rivers Casino. Customer service mentioned my initial transaction was declined. Even after waiting for two days, the $20 was still pending on the Vanilla gift card. To resolve this, I bought another Vanilla gift card, assuming there wouldn't be an issue. But when trying to add the money to my Rivers card, it showed the money was added to the pending transaction from before, labeled as "incomm vanilla gift," and deducted my funds again. I am confused and just want the money from my cards.

I recently bought a Vanilla Visa at Walgreens and tried to use it at HEB grocery immediately after purchasing it. Despite having $50 available, my transaction was declined multiple times. I had to use another payment method to buy my groceries. Later, I tried to make a $23 purchase on Amazon, only to be notified by email that the payment was declined. To my surprise, I now see a charge of just under $50 from an unfamiliar merchant that I did not authorize. It seems my card information has been compromised. I believe Visa Vanilla should issue me a new card and investigate the fraudulent charge made by the unknown merchant on my stolen card details.

I used my Vanilla Visa card on PayPal to send money to a friend and secure my TextNow number on the Google Play Store. I purchased a $5.00 Google Play Credit after having some credit already. Since I still lacked the needed credit for TextNow, I used my Vanilla Visa Gift Card. Subsequently, my card was repeatedly declined due to insufficient funds. Upon reviewing my Vanilla Visa transactions, I found the legitimate ones I listed along with the remaining funds spent on Google Play without my authorization. If someone made purchases from my card on the play store, shouldn't there be a way to trace these unauthorized transactions? Google Play credits must be in a Google account for purchase and use, but they are not in my account, even though my card was used.

I have reached out to the disputes department three times already, but despite being assured a document would be emailed to me within 15 minutes to 24 hours to open the dispute, I have yet to receive anything after four days. The issue revolves around a vanilla visa gift card that was used for fraudulent purchases even though it never left my wallet since purchase. I discovered the card was empty after returning from church. Though I was informed the card was put on hold and that the charges would be investigated and disputed, the dispute has not been initiated because I haven't received the required forms via email. I urgently need those forms to resolve this matter. Thank you.

I have an unused Vanilla gift card with an original balance of $[redacted]. I tried to use it for a purchase at "Touch of Class," but it was declined. After a few unsuccessful attempts, I used Paypal to complete my order. However, the $[redacted] was not refunded back to my Visa Vanilla gift card. Despite the balance showing as $[redacted] with an expiration year of 28, my gift card statement displays a "pending" status for the "Touch of Class" transaction. I contacted their customer support, who confirmed they did not charge the card due to the failed transaction, but my balance now shows around $3.

I am concerned that my account balance seems incorrect. Yesterday, I only spent $25 out of $50, yet today my balance shows zero. The website indicates a purchase at 2:24 PM yesterday when I was not online. As I do not have a PayPal account, I suspect someone may have used their PayPal to make a purchase with my balance. I believe my card may have been compromised. Can you please assist with reporting this as fraud and processing a refund?

I bought a $[redacted] Vanilla Visa gift card at Safeway to purchase my daughter's school pictures and Halloween costume on Amazon. I successfully bought the photo package, but when I tried to order Halloween costume accessories, one item was out of stock, delaying my order without a delivery date. I updated the order, but it remained pending. Not using the card for anything else, I decided to check the balance online before contacting Amazon about the delays. To my surprise, the card showed a balance of $0.00 with a transaction matching the remaining balance for a charge labeled Playstation. I am certain this is fraudulent, and I paid cash for this card. I need my money refunded.

I bought a Vanilla One gift card for $[redacted]. I used it to purchase an item on eBay for $18.49. When I tried to make another purchase, I realized my remaining balance of $81 was placed on hold. After contacting Vanilla One, a representative named Zoe informed me that my card may have been compromised. Despite only the $18.49 transaction showing signs of compromise, Zoe mentioned that a new card with my $81 balance would be sent. It has been over a week now, or 8 days precisely, and I am yet to receive the replacement card. Vanilla One has canceled the compromised card without providing a clear reason for the compromise. I am concerned by their lack of transparency and delay in issuing me a new card with the $81 they owe me. If this issue is not resolved soon, I intend to raise awareness by reaching out to multiple news outlets. I have never encountered such problems with other gift cards and this situation is frustrating given that this money represents my hard-earned income.

I recently purchased a $10 eGift card on 10/30 for $12.95 and subsequently decided to request a refund since I changed my mind about giving it as a gift. After calling customer service on 10/31, I was informed that it could take up to 5 business days for the refund to reflect in my bank account. Upon waiting for the allocated time and not seeing the refund by 11/8, I contacted customer service again and was advised to call back in 2 more days if no progress was made. Today, on 11/10, after checking my bank account and not finding the refund, I contacted customer service once more. This time, I was instructed to call a different phone number. The new number provided is 1-[redacted] (option 4). My case id for the refund is [redacted]6. Unfortunately, I no longer have the order number associated with the transaction as I deleted the email in which it was contained, assuming I wouldn't need it after requesting the refund.

I sent a VISA Vanilla Gift Card purchased at Safeway in Cupertino, California on 11/17/21 over the internet to the recipient. Sadly, the gift card was intercepted by a hacker who skimmed the value, leaving a zero balance. After contacting live VISA Vanilla support, I learned where the funds were spent. This incident is a clear case of theft and I believe VISA Vanilla should warn customers about such risks. There should be stricter guidelines on how to ship or send gift cards, especially emphasizing the dangers of sending them over unsecured channels.

I was contacted by someone named Albert Rubbin who asked me to use my bank account to transfer money from a briefcase. When I received the briefcase from a person pretending to be Albert, I was told to withdraw money from my account to add the money from the suitcase. It seemed suspicious to me that I needed to take money out to put more in. The person involved is Anthonio Gomez, who claimed to be the lawyer managing gift cards, turning them into cash for Joshua Brook, a fake FBI agent. Anthonio Gomez can be reached at [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. The FBI email is [redacted] Albert Rubbin's email is [redacted] I am Yasheaka Mapp, reporting this scam.

I made a purchase on Amazon yesterday, December 4th, and the transaction is still pending. I bought the card last Friday, December 3rd, and it's valid with funds. I am confused as to why the transaction is not going through. Additionally, I've been trying to contact a representative, but when I enter the card number at the start of the call, the recorded voice keeps saying it's an invalid number.

I am currently in the USA, coming from the UK. I encountered an issue while attempting to make an online purchase with my UK card. The seller requested two $[redacted] and $[redacted] vanilla cards with activation receipts. Unfortunately, after sending the cards, the seller vanished. When I tried to reach out via phone, a different person answered, claiming it was the wrong number. I would appreciate it if you could contact me at +[redacted]4 to assist in blocking the cards promptly.
